Sashihara Rino (Sasshi) / AKB 5th Generation

I think the song is going to do OK and meet the selling expectations of AKB management. It will most likely be #1 on the oricon charts like all the AKB singles.

What I actually think:

Personally, I don't think the song is hot. If this song was by some other group it would not rank well, but because it is by AKB, AKB fans are going to buy it so the song will reach #1 on the oricon charts. I'm thinking after so many good songs like Otona Rensha, 12 byo, Summer side, and Bokutachiwa Tatakawanai why the drop in quality? The whole thing, melody, lyrics, customs and choreography seems as though it was slapped together last night to meet a deadline. I'd rather this song fail and send AKI-P the message he has to make good songs if he wants chart busters. In reality, I think the song will do as good as all the others so we can expect more like it in the future.

 

Personally Halloween Night might be very significant to AKB48 group.
It seems AKS want to make it Japan's "Song of Halloween".

However I admit the timing is not good, any I really worried the members' health in outdoor concert (for example upcoming SSA),
but it is too late if it is for 42nd single, and they can't wait other group (e.g. Johnny's) get the market

 

Koichun gained popularity at a very slow pace. If this were to be the same, Halloween would have past before it became truly huge!

 

It's kind of strange timing to debut the song, but perhaps this was what Aki-P was talking about when he wanted to 'change direction' with this single -- could it be that they needed to blend the impact of Sasshi's ranking with an earlier need to debut a Halloween-themed single as soon as possible?

What's kind of neat from this going forward... is that even if the single itself is only a modest hit... we all know what AKB is going to be theming events and shows like, in the weeks leading up to Halloween... fun! So much potential for the adorable.

 

I can't wait until HKT gets a hold on this song. Akiyoshi in an orange, Chizu in a strawberry, Wakachan wearing her father's jersey, Yuria would be wearing Takamina's costume, Okapan would be in a parrot suit and while NakoMiku in chibi devil outfits that they wore during the Sharp cellphone campaign. Ahhh to many possibilities.

I like your way of thinking. I too feel the song will beginn to truly shine when performed by HKT. Jiina in a mad-hatter outfit, Yuriya as nekomata, Mariri as goth-loli... they'd have the dinos from Yokohama arena show up too... all the possibilities...

 

lol... I was also thinking of that commercial. I hope Shinobu will make some unique costumes for HKT and not just reuse the other ones.

Wow, what happened, they have new bikinis for the SSK photobook?! I was totally expecting the same old once again.

 

Nako had Sasshi's hairstyle at the performance today. So cute

But Sasshi gave her the cold treatment and said she likes Kokoro-kun more (no idea who that is). I'm not sure Sasshi knows about today's performance though.

Always nice to see those long legs of Yukirin's all the way to the hip (and not covered by ishou or long dresses)... and yes, Mayu's hips:waist ratio is legendary -- they seem eeeeven wider from the front sitting down as that tushy has to go somewhere...

I kinda wish we could see Yukirin's and Sakura's slender bodies side-by-side... they're both quite amazing in mizugi.

Sasshi's in great shape this year, that's for sure... her legs stand up to either of her podium-mates.
