DVD remains the dominant optical media and with the demand for Bluray declining the possibility of a transition is improbable. Moreover, the sale of AKB's Bluray has been mediocre presaging weak demand from fans. ^ If you wanna see the fans in the theater, it's possible? Still we're kinda limited on what the cameraman does.
^^ it's not for watching the fans but getting different angles and see certain members better during performances like this. if the video does not show watch the video here With 360 cam, you could see more girl or focus on certain ones but they have to work out how to work the cam in the theater. I think it would be better if they make a 360 pv rather than do it for performances tho. Unless the stage was set up in certain ways there's no reason to rotate to see the fans but you can see everything in PVs....a soloist from avex have tried it in her pv and you can set up so if you rotate you can see different members like in kpop's Infinite MV

OMG Marty Friedman showed up during HKT's performance... I agree, if you try to use 360 view at a concert performance, you're limited by the set-up of the stage and the placement of the audience. With PVs though, you can create the set in so many ways that you can really use the 360 camera to your advantage. It would probably be super useful for 48G, since there are units that can have as many as 30, 40, or 50 girls at the same time. I would like to see AKB do something like this actually. It would give back some of their experimental edge from the early days.
