The one we wish Rikachan doing Warukii is the AKB48 Kouhaku Taikou Uta Gassen, to be held next week on December 15th (Thu).
Unfortunately it's up to management to decide if they let her sing it or not.

This one is the NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen, to be held December 31st (Sat). We'll choose 48 members out of all 48G who can perform in the day. Votation link isn't ready yet besides it begins today. (Sorry if my previous post wasn't clear, I'll fix it.)

I WANT TO CONTINUE BEING AN IDOL AT FULL POWER ☆

This time I performed the photographic essay considering the theme "princess".
It's NGT48's Yamada (Noe) who started calling me "Princess Rika". It was because my clothes were fluttering, I was selfish and was bossing everyone around (laughs). And this spread among my fans so they call me somewhat "Princess" since then (laughs).

Tell me something you like that you think it has to do wih a princess.
I love pink and white, all my belongings are pink or white. My favorite food is my Mom's omelet. It's fluffy, sweet and a bit irregular. She always makes it when I return home. [1] I also like some fruits, especially peaches and strawberries. But it isn't because the taste, I like them because they look cute ♥

On contrary, tell something you think it's nothing to do with a princess?
I'm a bit boorish. They let me do things freely at video streaming service "SHOWROOM", so people's first impressions might be I'm playing the hypocrite. [2] A lot of people tell me it changed the way they saw me. [3]

Your closeness to fans is superb.
Yes, it is! (← she does not hesitate as she is a princess lol) Being close to my fans is something I consider the most. I want everyone can say that my fans are happier than any other fans.

Starting from "SHOWROOM", your popularity rose like a fire and you also managed to enter into AKB48's Senbatsu for their newest song "High Tension".
At first I was really surprised like "What, is it me?" Since I got such a big oportunity, I want to be succesful on it. I was also selected to Renacchi-san's Senbatsu - The Renacchis. "Happy End", oh gosh, is an idol top song!!

You're the only NGT48 member co-starring on "Cabasuka Gakuen"!!
I'm playing the role of Nodoguro. [4] I've never eaten such a pretty fish lol. I was told that it was okay to play acting cute and I made it smoothly. The drama "Higurashi - They They Cry : Kai" is being aired too. In this one I play a completely different role of a mad woman, so I hope I can enjoy the gap between the two characters.

What's your ambitions in the future?
Since I've had experienced the "High Tension" Senbatsu, I discovered a brand new world and a lot of things to learn. I want to return to NGT48 with all I've learnt and promote public awareness of NGT48.

What about the individual Nakai Rika?
Since my dream always was to be an idol, I'm enjoying so much to perform at stage, to talk directly to my fans at Handshake Events so I can't help not doing it. I want to continue being the NGT48's idol Nakai Rika of AKB48 Group at full power. ☆

she is really doing exceptionally great recently.
considering her great handshake sales and respective push from management, it looks like she completely overtook Katomina in popularity, but I have a feeling that despite that, they won't give her centers in the upcoming NGT singles. but oh well, I guess she'll excel in other ways.

if that really happens, she'll officially become a "Sasshi's successor"
usually I don't like those "next XX" talks, especially when it's about Sasshi, because people usually misunderstand her and label her with wrong character and suggest variety-type girls like Chori, Maachun, Miki, etc. as her "successors" when in reality I don't think she ever proclaimed to be a variety idol. like she said in "Ariyoshi Hawaii Holidays" once - she's not in charge of variety, but in charge of bright mood.

I find Rika similar in that. she isn't a variety type, yet she naturally brightens the mood of people around. they both have a distinctive and infectious laughter that just won't leave you cold.
they both have an immense talent to reveal their persona and get fans via SNS. Sasshi got initially famous in fandom with her blog and Rika with Showroom.
and that makes a very strong bond and following with fans.
Rika with her tofu mentality (tofu pro wrestling, anyone?)) is very similar to Sasshi's hetare character back in the days. they both are also weak in sports.
Rika wearing a jersey and a t-shirt with "I improve when I am praised" sign in the "Road to WIP" episode was like a blast from the past for me))

Sure Rikachan is a late starter and you can't compare her to what Sasshi'd already accomplished at her age. If you pick 2011/2012, Sasshi was already Number 9 in SSK, various senbatsu and TV shows experiences, solo TV show (Sashiko no Kuse ni), preparing for solo debut, etc. but it was soon after that Sasshi acctually began her extraordinary journey to become who she is today. In that sense, I'm so curious to know how far Rikachan can reach, given her idol time. Maybe she needs someone like Tsuchida as her tutor ... If she can't go wrestling, they must left her in the middle of Shibuya streets to do the 3-year-old girl before everyone.
