I'm kinda suspicious to say this, but I find this show more interesting than most 48 shows because there're boys and girls together, not only girls, it feels more balanced. Unfortunately many interesting parts are from the pre-show talk (about 5 min, but not available in the backups) and post-show (paid content on Paravi). (For example, yesterday's pre-show had a talk about last week's ANN with Rikachan, Komiya and Sakuma and about Aida participating with Sasshi this week.)

This time, I'm going to talk about the variety show "Seishun Koukou 3-nen C-gumi"[1] (TV Tokyo) that started in April!

I'm getting used to the show and starting to enjoy co-hosting as the Assistant Teacher! I've been successful in breaking the ice with some participants. With the two of Nobunaga-san[2], we have even gone to the "Dreamland" together.[3] This is very rare to see because I don't usually open up with people this much. (laugh)

There weren't many jobs I could really enjoy lately because responsibility and pressure have increased within the group due to Rie-san's (Kitahara Rie) departure and the arrival of new junior members. But I can say from the bottom of my heart that I really enjoy this show. I've never imagined one day I would be waiting for Monday to come every week so eagerly! Back when I was a student, I wanted Monday to vanish! (laugh) Just to say how wonderful the current workplace is.

All the students really have unique personalities. They are so innocent, it's hard to believe they are the same age as me. I see them from afar and feel they are enjoying their youth. I want to live my youth once again (what did I have in my mind when I was a student?) I think it was only about lunch, dinner and Monday night's drama. But I guess that was youth too. It's great to be able to laugh regardless of whether you're a man, a woman or the faction you belong to.

Actually I was pretty delicate (I'm saying it myself) and anything I was told would hurt me and I couldn't bear boys especially. That's true! (laugh) So, I'm going to work even harder so I can experience my youth once again!!


I'm finally starting to enjoy working as the co-host.

NGT48 Nakai Rika-san likes seafood, as expected from a native of Toyama Prefecture-- the treasure chamber of fish and seafood. Despite this, she admitted that "Tsukiji was an uncharted territory to her". Has the lunch at Tsukiji market helped the popular idol-- who has become 20-- to make a step forward to the adult life?

The counter-seating curry restaurant was originally built to meet the demand of Tsukiji's workers, but it turned out that now it's also frequented by enthusiasts from afar. "A curry restaurant inside a fish market??" Nakai-san was surprised, but at the first try she accepted the idea: "This full-flavored taste certainly makes you addicted to it!"

Walking on an alley in the fish market, we caught a glimpse of a crowd. Looking close, there were simple and adorable Japanese sweets put side by side. The long-established dango[5] shop founded in 1989 is another famous spot inside the Tsukiji Market. It is said that the dango-- which is their flagship product-- was the model for that big hit song!

The small and well-known coffee shop is a place where the market workers-- who start working from early morning-- take a break. The old men of Tsukiji calmly holding their cup of coffee, the friendly owner, the toast you can choose how to be cut and baked ... all this in a tasteful ambience that makes you feel time has stopped ... Everything was new for Nakai-san!


To call it a day, she was satisfied with the seafood rice bowl at the shop famous for its long line @ Nakaya[7]

Walking in the street where we could find lots of seafood restaurants-- like sushi shops etc.-- with their long lines, Nakai-san chose the popular shop specialized on seafood rice bowls. Nakai-san was satisfied with a greedy bowl, generously served with 10 different types of seafood and prepared by the shopkeeper she fell in love with at the first sight: "He's what we can expect from a good-looking worker of Tsukiji!"

Nakai-san came to the Tsukiji market for the first time today. "When I heard about fish markets before, I only had the image of fish and workplace. Thus, I was surprised there were lots of curry and coffee shops inside it. I was a bit nervous to step in into this unknown territory." At first, her face expressed a "question mark" because of the gap between the image she had of the place and how it was actually. However, after visiting some shops, she may have begun to understand why this place was so loved.

"A sense of closeness in a tasteful ambience, where the shopkeeper talk to us friendly and it's easy to talk to the other customers next to us. Of course, the food is good, but all the shops transmitting people's warmth like in the old days is particularly nice. Even though it was my first time here, I felt something nostalgic. It was totally new for me." She was satisfied with the seafood rice bowl of "Nakaya", where she had "new experiences" in another sense. When she finished eating, she shouted "Gochisousama!"[8] with no less cheerful a voice than the shopkeeper's. She seemed to have become a fan of Tsukiji.

"Nakai Rika-sensei" held a special class giving some advice of how to conduct a streaming on SHOWROOM and teaching some of her techniques to get more views, comments and gifts. This week is the Part 2 of "10th AKB48 53rd Single World Selection General Election"[1].

Lately, I have been asked a lot about the General Election in the interviews, as well as in some questionnaires. Yep, I really don't like the General Election. Regardless of the outcome, I would like to work harder than usual during the election period, but if I do so, people will say "She's only making an effort because of the election" ... Moreover, it'll be the rainy season soon, it doesn't help to raise the mood either.

As for my election pledge, I want to hold a fan event and I will work hard for it. But come to think, what kind of effort can I do? No one notices efforts that can't be seen, but on the other hand, if I make visible efforts, people won't stop nagging as I wrote above ... By the way, I particularly don't like to show when I'm doing effort because people tend to think I'm putting on airs. That's why I deeply think it's very hard to make an effort that people can comprehend during this period.

I have written a lot but I'm the woman who ate an expired bread in my first election (8th) and struggled to fix the underwear without being noticed in the second. In this third election, I hope I can just enjoy it. In short, "Although it's the General Election, I'll go through it in a joyful and carefree way and do my best, so I count on your support!" And lastly, please don't ask me so much about the General Election, because it'll trigger my tofu mentality[2] ...


Anyway, I want to go through this year's General Election
in a joyful way and without straining myself too much
