Single Hinatazaka46 2nd [Doremisolasido] (2019/07/17)

I like it Might be Not the best, but better than their original outfits of this single

 

Those costumes are okay if you take the pink ribbons out, which I think were just there as an accent because there had been a pink stripe in the Kyun costumes. But both are a long way from the white Kitai shite inai jibun / Hashiradasu Shunkan costumes though, which are still my favourite Hiragana/Hinatazaka outfits.

 

I like the new costume, they look more beautiful and elegant, wrapped in a black and white dress. However, when they wear it to dance, especially on Doremisolasido choreography, I think it becomes less attractive (a bit plain) because the colors and models are identical to each other, so that in some movements we cannot see the uniqueness of the color variations that we normally saw when they wear the original costume.

I liked the performance and I liked the outfits. The light and airy impression works close-up and also with more distant shots in motion. For me.

I liked the outfits almost as much as I liked Meimei's little twin braids.



EDIT: The same Nagano announcer who did a version of Kyun -- Matsuyama Koudai of Nagano Housou (FujiTV network) has now done one of Doremisolashido, seemingly on the roof of his station, with a wading pool and blue fencing to simulate the MV:

Sadly lost the track how much they sold so far Maybe someone could enlighten me.

 

And in bilboard doremi sold 18,037 last week with a total of 513,245 copies sold.

Part of the reason why I enjoy watching dance covers like this one (other than the fact that they're well done) is because the single camera makes it easy to see the 'big picture' formation changes that would normally be missed from MVs or even some live recordings
