Single AKB48 56th [Sustainable] (2019/09/18)

@Riina Yes I read it on Moeka's Twitter;

For Request Hour, she said in mid-December that her activities end before Request Hour so she won't be able to participate. Then on the day of JRA, she made a tweet to say that it's the last stage for her as AKB48, that it has new outfits, and she asked fans not to miss it. She also made a tweet for CDTV and she said that this one was pre-recorded. Also after the JRA live aired, a lot of members posted photos with Moeka, like it was like a goodbye performance for her. There was also this photo (really cute photo btw ):



So yes all of this confirms that it's the last stage of Moeka as AKB... the fact that she will participate in the finalists concert is actually a surprise, they announced it during her graduation stage as a surprise, it's not something she was supposed to do. I think her activities as AKB already ended and all she has is handshake events and the finalists live. She also already had her goodbyes in Mirai Monster where she was regular.

 

@Mana I didn't know the said it herself so then it makes sense. I still think in case Sustainable or Saikyo twintail ranked in RH she might appear as surprise appearance though... Not for other songs of course.

I wonder who will be the center of Sustainable when they perform it after Moeka's graduation. Yuiyui seems like a good candidate...

Old news but sustainable is certified 2X million seller in billboard japan. Is this the first time a non-ssk related akb single is able surpassed 2m+ copies? Quite amazing

 

Yes The only other singles that got over 2M on Billboard are

• Tsubasa wa Iranai (2,507,403)
• Negaigoto no Mochigusare (2,649,234)
• Teacher Teacher (2,922,460)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but that's all as far as I know...

 

I think all ssk-related singles starting from manatsu sounds good all sold more than 2m but not certified yet. Correct me if I'm wrong. Teacher teacher was certified 3x million seller by billboard. I heard somewhere that bokutachi wa tatakawanai also surpassed 3m sales.

 

RIAJ certified that TT was a 3m seller.
and i'm pretty sure Beginner is the only non-ssk related single to have 2m, counting physical+digital.

 

We all know why Sustainable sold so much.

I just watched this live performance compilation of Sustainable and I wanted to share it here! I can't believe it's been just a little more than 1 year since this single, it feels like it was long ago ;_; I miss that time because I really enjoyed following Sustainable promotions and I really felt that the future looked bright for AKB. This was the first time in years that I followed the promotion of an AKB single so closely, I loved everything, the song, the senbatsu, the center, the dance, the clothes. Good times ;_; The performances are all so cute and cheerful!
