also read that Trish and Sam already left the group months ago but no formal announcement yet from mgmt.

also funny how most fans are that naive and still can't go over how the GE ranking works, which is when someone from senbatsu leaves the groups or any rank position, the ranking just moves up.

Now they are fighting for Cole's 17th UG center position and would like someone from unranked members to take Alice's rank or move to senbatsu, which does not make any sense at all. :fp:

Rianna will be now in the Senbatsu, replacing Alice

"Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. (HHE) would like to formally announce that MNL48 Rianna will be replacing MNL48 Alice and will be part of the 7th single Senbatsu. MNL48 Rianna holds the Rank 33 spot, wherein Rank 33 to 36 are reserved for Undergirls and/or Senbatsu in case of unavailability or absence of those group members."

and so they finally gave in to fandom pressure and demands where they have their own ideal set of rules instead of following the standard 48G or just simple ranking..

fear of being boycotted, it's always a losing battle.. mgmt. can never win.

and so how the saying goes.. "If You Don't Stand for Something, You'll Fall for Anything"

    Good Luck to HHE.

What do you mean fell for fandom pressure?? This move of them, to retain Cole, a favored member, as UG center while put a possible new pushed member in senbatsu is a win-win for management.

Its just leaves a bad taste when put in contrast with what happened years ago when they "promoted" Thea to senbatsu from UG center that conveniently put Coleen, also a favored member, as the new UG center.

So in both cases, HHE is unapologetically using its discrection to push its favored members. Nothing new. Nothing wrong I guess as long as fans in general don't mind enough.

    17 to 16 makes sense
30ish rank to senbatsu does not

its not even a debate pushed member or not.

nothing wrong with pushed members, that's 48G norm except it's not a pushed single.

get your senses straight before you dislike and reply.

17 to 16 was a sensible option and conveniently coincided with what the management likely wanted.

30 something to senbatsu doesn't make sense, sure, but in no way what most fans wanted but again, isn't far fetched to think that management likes the idea of Cole having a song to center (considering in the MNL world, election UG songs are almost promoted as much as senbatsu songs.)

So your statement earlier about HHE giving in to fan pressure doesn't add up nor make sense.

it's all over twitter and other socmedia.. read some.

common sense, if they did not fell into pressure, they follow the usual move up ranking just like what they did or happened on 2nd GE, pushed or not.

technically this is not about Rianna btw, but most fans defending Cole's ug center pos which in turn made that high jump on rank.

It would be falling for fan pressure if the move seems to be something management doesn't want to do but still does it coz of the fans. Are you really trying to imply that management doesn't really like the idea of retaining Cole as the UG song center (a song that like Coleen's Gingham Check, will likely be promoted as if its a senbatsu song)? That they would rather put her in the back row of senbatsu if it weren't for fan pressure? Lol

duh, the fans pressured mgmt to keep Cole's pos. its not about mgmt liking Cole to be ug center or not.

as i have said its all on socmedia where it all happened and mgmt get their feedback as usual.

not implying but actually what is happening or already happened.

As we know based on Sheki's post once, they are preparing for Asia Fest. Other than that, nothing.

I hope for a surprise presentation of the new single (which is 99% going to be NO WAY MAN, too many hints looking towards that direction) at Asia Festival like Team SH is doing.

she had a good run and at least in the Bangkok Asiafest Team, which at that time mgmt. looked focus and did their thing.

yea hoping they'll outdone their shanghai performance and wow the fans once again.

I know this was hinted at but it's still sad nonetheless. MNL has had a lot of graduated members...

It's all because of the management's fault. At this point Vernalossom needs to intervene, I'm tired of seeing the girls being set up by the management with fake promises.

Either MNL48 management reform from aid from the Japanese management, or AKB48 Team ML, I had enough.

same, was expecting since both hinted way back.

Team ML, lesser members, anything would be fine as long as their situation gets better.

you have to also consider that pandemic is an unexpected thing and a big factor to this year's unfavorable happenings and decisions.

looks like we are moving up again 2 ranks up.

..speaking of the present, frankly my best bet for 3rd gen push would be Charm and Rachel.

its not just management’s fault. “Fans” are also to blame. The past few months those two have had an increase in harassment on social media especially twitter. So many dummy accounts came out harassing Gabb about her body and Brei regarding her issue/sexual preference.

You really believe Verna is going to swoop in and save the group, when the group is still struggling to go mainstream? From a business standpoint, Verna would most likely let the group disband since the cost of keeping them alive in the Philippine Industry is more, compaded to disbanding them. Don’t forget they have their own issues to deal with back in Japan so it unlikely they will reform the group. And honestly if they do, alot of the things that management has been lenient on will go away. On top of that it is highly unlikely they will keep all of the remaining members (at most, probably half) and the translations of the songs will definetly go down the drain (if you dont know; the people translating the songs often fight tooth and nail for the song to be translated in a way that it makes sense to Filipinos). Also don’t rely too much on ABS-CBN (their media partner) to take the group from HHE. Verna approached them prior to HHE and they declined their offer. Also they have their own groups to deal with (BGYO and BINI)- which I may add is increasing in popularity at a faster rate than MNL48.
