Hello, I wanna ask something..
with ton of video and apps became mainstream nowaday, we still couldn't embed YouTube Shorts, Instagram Video, Twitter video and TikTok video in the forum?
I mean, it's 2022 and Stage still allowed embeds for 2 dead video platform (Liveleak and Metacafe)

 

With YouTube shorts, while they're playing right-click on the video which brings up a pop-up menu, then click on 'Copy video URL' and paste it into the 'Enter media URL' box in the post on Stage48.

Hmm, seems like there's special handling for youtube shorts now. Don't need to use the short url (or modify it to be a normal YT url). It's still from YouTube though, so maybe adding that wasn't as hard as adding new websites would be.

I honestly prefer that IG/Twitter/TikTok posts don't get embed... if they do then the pages on the forum will be too long and take even longer to load, especially if you can post up to 4 YouTube videos + 4 of each other social media, that could end up with like 16 embed videos for one same post... and we would probably start to see a lot of the nonsense tweets being shared here. and imagine all the TikToks that would be embed all over the forum lol. I find it better when only YouTube is embed and the rest are just links, like how it is right now ^^;

 

I agree for Tiktok... but not so much for Twitter. People already post the images, and that would save them having to mess with image sizes.

Hm well, I'm not sure if you remember but we were working on fixing the nicknames on the thread titles last year (by pm, just checked and the pm was started 15 months ago lol) and we did STU and some NGT ones... but then I was told to start asking here instead and things didn't get done so eventually the rest of the forum wasn't corrected... but we can do that now!

The wiki lists as many nicknames as there are on the profile pages, but I'm pretty sure the format in stage48 is to use one nickname, that is what is being done in every section generally and that's something we also did when we fixed the nicknames back then. I don't think it's necessary to have 2, 3 or 4 nicknames in the title of a thread and make it too long... especially when it's mostly one nickname that is used.

 

You're right, this is the correct place to ask for changes, I agree! I just want to get an answer and it's not always working here. Anyway, as long as it's being done btw requests and discussions about the wiki changes are being done in the discord all the time, but that's ok to me.

also, I already went through every profile page, I asked SKE fans about which nickname is the most used (for those with 2-3 nicknames listed) you don't really have to double check. I'm saying this for you, you can save your time, the information is correct. but of course it's up to you.
