then we're talking about the same people.
some of this might be a "grass is greener" idealization of korea/kpop.
well, if the choice of center is any indication... it seems like they have been going with the ones most popular with non-fans. but i think the song choices were odd if they're actually trying to rope in fans. maybe they think the song doesn't matter as long as "the right girl" is there or maybe they have no choice? if akimoto chooses the songs and management chooses the girls? i don't know.

how many akbs are there/should there be? for instance, i don't think akb's media output that most people would encounter (radio/mv/tv performances) is representative of the akb you'd see in the theater.
maybe more combo-centers is a good compromise.
it might be too early for me. i have no idea what you're talking about?

    EDIT: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!!!!!! :XD:

but how can it be a signature move if everyone is doing it?

Just here to give my opinion.

I really like the song. It is quite catchy. It reminds me of old school AKB48 while still sounding modern.
The dance is good too. I really want to learn the hand choreo at the beginning of the song. There are many formations which make the dance interesting.
Can't wait to see the MV. I hope it will be good.

I've just got round to watching Erii's latest video in which she talks quite a lot about the hand choreo (from 6:42 to 8:06):

if the video does not show watch the video here

Helpfully there's (auto-translated) English subs. Her explanation is similar to Naru's but she says that after making a heart sign, her right hand makes an 'L' shape with her thumb pointing to her chest.

That's what I mean though, Hiichan is a center that I think is more appealing to young women, whereas the song is reminiscent of the olden days where they very clearly targeted a male demographic. And the theatre is also the heart of AKB to me personally, so if you become a fan through TV performance, but then go to the theatre... wouldn't that turn you off again? That's why I'm saying it's so difficult to say who AKB is trying to target really, they're a bit all over the place.

I like the song, but in the live performance Yukirin stood out in a funny way. She looks way too old for a school themed outfit.
I loved the frontline and overall good new tune

I agree Yuiyui would be a good choice as AKB's center, she seems to adapt well to all different kinds of concepts.

Clicking on the URL link above plays a 19-second preview.

From the video notes (DeepL translation):

"The music video of the new song, which is full of a sense of speed and is suitable for the new beginning of AKB48, will be premiered on 24 Mar (Fri) at 21:00!
Everyone has a moment in their school days when they become the hero.
The music video is a snapshot of a page from their youth, with each of the 16 members shining as the main character!"

    EDIT:
During 'Sayonara Mouri-san' just now there was a preview clip of the MV for the Cooking Senbatsu song 'Netafuri' (credit to uploader):

So it's few weeks remaining before Nana's graduation. About her dating scandal, I am aware of it.

The single won't be officially released until April 26th, though, which is +3 weeks after Naachan's graduation. I don't think they've ever included members in a single if they graduated before the release date (except Kimi wa Melody, Kibouteki Refrain and Hanareteitemo, all special releases). However, someone let me know if I'm wrong.

Also, AKB management hasn't really spoken much about Naachan since the scandal happened... they didn't promote her solo tour or her gradcon and she hasn't appeared on any AKB programmes either; they've only mentioned her once or twice, but that was the members, not the MCs. Management seems pretty unhappy with her about this scandal and impending graduation.

If she didn't have a scandal, they would have probably made her center and then have her graduate in May or June so she could still promote the single.

The whole 3 looks short to me. Especially seeing how pretty much everyone struggles with on-sites.
I suppose they are counting a lot on their "new strategy": pay or ban
Or there are going to be the usual huge amount of resales.

Phone number. I've entered it, but just aren't receiving a code to verify my number. I used the correct country code and tried with and without 0 at the start.

61st Single (Doushite mo Kimi ga Suki da) - 2nd Sale 4th Round (17th to 20th of March 2023) (Final Round)

    Legend:
sold-out IRL dates/available IRL dates + sold-out online dates/available online dates = combined dates (+/–difference from previous round) Member Name

    Example:
    01/30 + 23/24 = 24/54 (+02) Oguri Yui (29+1=30 slots nearly sold out)
Yui has 30 slots available IRL and sold out one of them. She has 24 dates available online, and has sold out 23 of them. This makes a total of 24 out of 54 sold out. The number in brackets signifies the difference from the previous round (i.e. 2 more than previously). The numbers in brackets after the name show how many dates IRL + online = total only have a few tickets left to win/nearly sold out.

    12/30 + 24/24 = 36/54 (+02) Honda Hitomi (5+0=5 slots nearly sold out)

Comparison with 60th Single (2nd Sale 4th Round)
Total: 683/2,823 [24.19% of all tickets sold*] –5.28%

*Note: The percentage of tickets sold is based solely on sold-out slots. The actual number is probably higher but inaccessible to the public.

    __________

I think this is the very first time where the number of sold tickets has increased across a sales period. It seems like the banning threat is working.

I assume you're trying the SMS login. When you say you've used the correct country code do you mean you wrote 44 and your number or did you select UK +44 on the list of codes and then wrote your number?

Are you sure about these numbers?
