Sorry, I didn't get what you were saying here originally, but I finally got it.

I only just noticed that Yamabe Ayu, Yuami, Hidaaya, Misaa, Karen and Kiichan all started with 9 slots (they didn't get a slot for May 27th originally). I checked back on 5ch for cross reference (considering Jack only posts sold slots, so they weren't on his list) and as of 2nd Sale, they all got an additional date, bringing the total available slots to 10 (4 online, 6 physical; 1 per date basically). I don't know why they started out with 9 and I'm a sales round late, but it's updated from now on as well. I didn't feel the need to go back across the previous 4 rounds to edit those as it only makes a very small difference.

Also, for this post below, I compared with both Jack and 5ch, so hopefully no errors this time :^^;:

61st Single (Doushite mo Kimi ga Suki da) - 3rd Sale 1st Round (24th to 27th of March 2023)

    Legend:
sold-out IRL dates/available IRL dates + sold-out online dates/available online dates = combined dates (+/–difference from previous round) Member Name

    Example:
    01/30 + 23/24 = 24/54 (+02) Oguri Yui (29+1=30 slots nearly sold out)
Yui has 30 slots available IRL and sold out one of them. She has 24 dates available online, and has sold out 23 of them. This makes a total of 24 out of 54 sold out. The number in brackets signifies the difference from the previous round (i.e. 2 more than previously). The numbers in brackets after the name show how many dates IRL + online = total only have a few tickets left to win/nearly sold out.

It could work if it was a group like Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu but it ain't, It is a classic JPOP group so it appeals to Japanese (and by extent Thai) more than anybody else. I reckon they may release a KR ver but really, What would the point be? All the investment but not that much return from the SK market really, And let's not forget AKB48 is quite dividing in the South. In that case would be better to straight do Eng. ver like LDH groups do from time to time or what JKT48 used to do. That and a twist in AKB48's sound would appeal to some non-Wotas in Europe and the US. Although, If that WAS the case they woulda done it a long time ago or made NYC48 an AKB48 unit a long time ago.
Another thing is AKB48 has girls who know Chinese and Korean, They just never use those skills from them

damn produce 48. lol just make people keep comparing akb with K-Pop. its kinda sad bcs i always love Jpop because they always have their own “voice”. while K pop for me sounds like any Pop songs sung in korean language. did singers like Yui, Utada Hikaru, Ayumi Hamasaki, Arashi need to compared to Kpop to be taken seriously?. if we want to talk about current pop, does Yoasobi and Fujii Kaze sounds like K Pop? . give me a break. let Akb be Akb. comparison is getting tiring. Kpop wont last anyway. just see in couple of years.

that's what people with limited knowledge of kpop usually would say, but hey... I'm not judging
I was once like that too, towards jpop even.
I'm getting into it a little bit more, realizing that I was wrong and well... Here i am, loving both worlds

Hmmm... not the first time I hear that.
and I'll just say, it will happen eventually but... I really doubt it's in the near future.
especially after what just kinda happen last year.

Well, things happen anyway. The management still care about that dating rule but in my opinion, I think this is pointless because idols have the right to love someone. They can't just be pure as idols forever but since the dating rule is there, there's nothing I can do about it. I wish Naachan all the best after her upcoming graduation this April though.

61st Single (Doushite mo Kimi ga Suki da) - 3rd Sale 3rd Round (28th to 29th of March 2023)

    Legend:
sold-out IRL dates/available IRL dates + sold-out online dates/available online dates = combined dates (+/–difference from previous round) Member Name

    17/30 + 24/24 = 41/54 (+01) Honda Hitomi (2+0=2 slots nearly sold out)

Does anyone realize the potential content they could make? Not only can they release a dance version, they could also do a singing medley like what Monople did, and his version sounds awesome.:omfg:

lol an idol member literally begging people to buy tickets to talk with her. ok i hate being the one mentioning you know, the korean idol scene, but they do things well there. they don't line up people at a big hall like an idol is some product you can shake hands with, they do a fan meet do they not? i know you have to be lucky to be able to participate and the model may not bring in as much money, but the way akb seems to do it, i've always felt uneasy. it also create pressure and unhealthy standoff-ish atmosphere you know. i sold more than her etc. not good for young girls imo. i stan yuiri and i know she had problems when she was young and had to deal with sousenkyo and comparing yourself to other girls jazz. so yeah i much prefer 'not everyone gets to meet the idol' but small number, more cozy vibes fan-meet of, you know, the korean idol scene.

There are pros and cons to both sides.

The Japanese model is much better for fans, as in K-Pop, you need to buy multiple albums for even a chance to win a single session. Meanwhile, for J-Pop, you can apply directly and you only have to spend money if you actually win a talk session.

Besides, I've applied for Le Sserafim previously and won, and while I didn't get to choose, I only got to meet one member and not the whole group either. I got to meet Chaewon, whom I like a lot thanks to IZ*ONE, but I couldn't help but think that I would have preferred Sakura. I obviously didn't say that to Chaewon, but imagine if I she found out and how that would make her feel.

One reason why I don't think you can compare AKB with the K-Pop Hi-touch model though is that AKB has 80 members, whereas K-Pop groups tend to have 4-12 members. You can't possibly offer fans to meet all members in one session, not even per team. You'd have to make units, and then people would still only buy the ones for members they like.

Besides, in Hi-touch sessions, I've often heard of fans who only talk to their bias and then walk past the other members without even saying hello. What's worse for your mental health, not seeing a lot of fans line up, or seeing fans talk to your band member right next to you and then walk past you without even looking at you?

Of course, neither is great for self-confidence, but personally, I think it would be better to only meet fans who are actually interested in you and even if it's, let's say dramatically, 5 people who come to talk to you, you know at least these 5 people wanted to come and see you specifically.

I totally agree. I won't buy anything without a guarantee of winning something which is why I'm happy to spend cash on both online and 'real' Jpop meeting events because I know I'll win something. I also applied for the Japanese LE SSERAFIM online talk event as well as for Rocket Punch ones even though I couldn't choose the members. (For the LE SSERAFIM one I was very happy to win a talk with Yunjin as she speaks fluent English!)

So the amount of cash Kpop management has got from my credit card is zero (apart from the two groups whose Japanese events I've just mentioned) whereas Jpop groups (especially 48G, Sakamichi and Sasshi's groups) have taken rather more of my money lol. However at the end of the day maybe the Kpop way of doing this is more profitable, who knows.

One thing about Jpop 'in person' events is that it's sometimes possible for members without any queues to at least try and 'fish' fans standing in neighbouring lanes. That happened to me twice in the late 2010s, once with Kururun and once with Fuchigami Mai of HKT48. In both cases they won a smile and a wave from me and my presence with a ticket in their lanes at later events! [hehe]
