I honestly doubt they booked the venue for one single concert, but since they barely take any risks these days and teams don't exist anymore... I expect an AKB tandoku concert and that's it (a KKS one at most).

This is a bit random but I was curious about how AKB members were doing in terms of Instagram followers so I decided to check, I took the numbers on 30th August and then again one month later, on 1st October (yesterday). Here's a top 10 of the members with the biggest increase of followers for that period of time (this doesn't include members who will graduate):

Late responses, but I feel the need to address few things from the previous page:
To be fair you can also say similarly regarding SSK. Between NGT, PD48, lack of rivalry storyline, and Jurina's unwellness post-SSK '18, I wonder if it was too a financial strain long-term.

Assuming he's still alive and there's zero legacy-shattering scandal by that time. And you have to pay attention to his other vanity projects he's trying to do that barely sticks.

Just it's the reason AKB48 exists in the 1st place.
    "Idols you can meet"
Every days after their performance (at least in their early years)
It's their Headquarter their fundation, why it would be a bad idea to abandon it.

    ^
    This !!
Zest looks more willing to take risks where DH has become too shy, too conservative.
Right now, SKE48's management has more of AKB48's early spirit than AKB48 itself.

After all of those release day events i had over 25 copies of AB+C editions that i left for the hotel trash. (I separated the jewel cases from the media and print materials) probably something hotel staff hadn’t seen since the height of the group 5 years ago ( I consider Jiwaru Days to be the end of plateau. I guess most people would say its earlier, but sustainable, and shitsuren both hit the million mark after Jiwaru, maybe the peak was fortune cookie ((2013))? Idrk) i did leave the cleanup crew a nice gift I brought from home.

How can AKB48 move forward with digital sales and rely less in bulky sales materials? Tower Records is long gone from its origins in my hometown of Sacramento CA. How long will Japan prop up the CD market?

HEY! I didn't mean that theater is something bad nowadays, unnecessary. I mean if management would not to do something for the theater's exist (like new stages) like SKE48 did, I don’t see any factors of the existence of the theater as being significant at all for the group in this reality. :flower:

10/9 edition of the TV Tokyo show 'Why Did YOU Come To Japan?' with a young lady from Inverness in Scotland who's an AKB48 fan (18:16 - 29:42, credit to uploader):

It seems that she formed her own idol group in her home city called INV48 which had 4 members but is now down to 2 but she's launching herself as a solo idol called Meowgical Rosie with an album called 'Kitten Starlight Power': https://meowgicalrosie.bandcamp.com/album/kitten-starlight-power

She has a YouTube channel which includes English-language covers of AKB48 songs such as this one of 'Love Trip':

Also, no one talked about this, maybe because of Onishi's announcement, but @donjonnie found this xeet (now blocked) of a new AKB48 TV program

The blocked xeet said (via Deepl):

    ◾️ Sun 15 Oct 13:30-14:00
◾️ New program on 9 terrestrial channels
AKB48 Investigation Team! will start on 9 terrestrial channels.

The AKB48 Investigative Team will be reporting on the shops that have been affected by Corona in order to support them ✨.

We will discover and report on the charms of shops that are still unknown to us .

    Please take a look ✨

It seems that the Budokan concerts aren't selling that well.

Oh well, yes, the xeet was on your daily post on the Team 8 thread, among other stuff and without any explanations. I can's say that's talking about it.

Where did you see it? Just curious about the actual number

    Oh, maybe I misunderstood?

You like to treat us as if we were smarter than you, so you are implying actually we are dumber. That's correct? Because if it is correct, I don't know how it's that a compliment tbh

If I thought you were dumber why would I treat you like you're smarter in the first place?
