Mita Mao (Maokyun) / 2nd Generation

Rather that not doing anything with it, I think it was a case of nothing being done with it. She can't exactly go out for seiyuu auditions by herself (Yoshimoto has no power in the anime world unfortunately) and the whole Noname thing was a one-shot. If she really wants to be a VA, she probably needs to take the Nakaya Sayaka or Hata Sawako route and join a VA school.

Why does the NMB's Management won't bring Maokyun in the Senbatsu?

So far, for me, she's the only 0048 Seiyuu that hasn't been very recognized yet...

 

Maokyun gets good exposure in YNN. You should watch it for your Maokyun fix.

 

Unfortunately she's not very popular within her team or in NMB in general. However, like zeroshiki says, she does get extremely good exposure in YNN, so yes, you should definitely take a look at her stuff there. She hosts her own drawing series, and she also organised the Mita Mao festival, which is airing archive footage over the course of this month so it'll probably be available through h!o this month She also does sub in for senbatsu members when they're absent at stages, so I'd take a look at some Team M stages as well.

 

Just a personal thing, but I prefer Maokyun with her hair up as in some of the YNN episodes besides the Mita Gahaku series. With her hair down her head resembles the shape of large, bell-shaped gourd.

I can't get off my mind why does NMB's management doesn't put her in Senbatsu?

 

Why would they?

 

They can't put everybody in senbatsu and I'm sure she's waaaay down the list of potential senbatsu members.

 

Some members are considered goldmines, but others aren't. The few that do are also the ones who have the knack to "fish" their audience.

Haha I personally wasn't surprised! I knew she'd rank in for sure, and probably close to the top as well :3 and she got double the votes of Nako haha.

She always talks about her multiple 2D boyfriends and I think she has over 500 manga in her collection and her tweets are so wota-like that I just assume they're a Japanese wota I follow when I read them but then I realise it's her. I hope this episode of AKB Shirabe spreads her name out there because I think she's a super fun girl to follow and she's sweet but also absolutely hilarious so maybe people will notice her more!

 

I was on Twitter today and I saw her TouRan icon and I had to laugh!
I wasn't really aware of her until a few moments ago, but Maokyun seems like a sweet girl, I think I will call her my Team M oshi now.
