I just realized something. Is that 34 includes Taiwan? (Because the one country/two system (China and Taiwan) policy)
PRC has no jurisdiction over Taiwan. So they don't count...the one country two systems is China with HK and Macau. But it doesn't deter Taiwanese auditionees, because WanWan is from Taiwan. Team 8II is a cray idea tho. Tryna beat all the other sister groups to 8II.

More info if the video does not show watch the video here SNH48 has released a new digital single《雨季之后》 (Yuji Zhihou / After The Rainy Season) which is a Chinese remake of AKB48’s ‘After Rain’. This is the first song that all three teams of SNH48 has recorded together, singing about the beginnings of the group up until now. The song deals with the members’ experiences from setbacks to the pain of farewells, and seeing the rainbow that gives them strength to continue on. All proceeds from this track (for 0.48元) go towards the weibo charity project: “思源助学金" an organization that helps poor students accomplish their dreams.
