^ Why do you guys have such humongous HDs? xD
Mines only 250 GB... (sad). Though I could always get 1 TB from FRY's XD
On this computer... I have a ATI RADEON 9550, 1 GB RAM.. OS: Windows XP. So pretty much a little above a normal regular computer xD

^ Because they are not exactly expensive anymore...
Also, if you post your specs, try to include the processor. Some people say it's important for your PC to run. :p

I have lots of hard drive space for a few reasons, but the main one is: I'm lazy. :) I like to keep all my music, PV's, and stuff on my computer and have plenty of room to work around in. It also helps since I run multiple operating systems. Also, again with the laziness, I hate burning stuff so I just let things pile up until I've got a ton to burn, and do it all over the course of a weekend. Maybe that's why I go through burners relatively quickly. :)

And thanks qilver. Nice to be back around.

Oh and here's a picture for good measure. :) Speakers have since been replaced with a nice Logitech Z-2300, and the desk is often not that clean, but you get the idea. ;)

Apple MacBook pro - old stuff, not the *drool* multitouch thingy.
    She's 17" and is a fatass beauty.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz - I dunno the codename.
    RAM: 2x1GB
    Video card: Nvidia GeForce 8600GT - 256MB

    Mac OS X 10.5.4

Currently I don't touch any desktop.

    Supporting external HDDs:
[ I move my old stuffs to new HDD often - I think if I can stop buying HDD I might save more than enuf to build a good desktop ]

Brand new stuffs - still almost empty.
500GB for Haruna's stuffs [mostly reserved for any drama that got a screen of her].
500GB for AKB stuffs [ mostly picture and web archive, some more dorama ]

3x 500GB for anime & manga - not really 'almost empty' as said.

    Old ones:
    3 x 160 GB of schools
2 x 160 GB of family homemade video

And 160GB comes with the machine - doodle place.

It all depends on what you plan to do with it. I have a Toshiba Satellite that works fine as my main computer, but all I really do is a small amount of graphics, surfing the internet and watching videos/listening to music. I can't handle higher def. videos, but I'm sure if you got a higher model of a Toshiba Satellite, it may work better.

All i do really is go on the internet, store loads of music and videos ( i heard they have good speakers) just things that a person would normally do on a computer. I do play a game or two but its nothing that needs high requirements. What modle do you have?

    It's a uh...M105-S1021.

I don't know what kind of Satellites they sell now, as I bought this one almost 3 years ago, but I'd go for one with higher ram and HDD if possible. And if you're going to be watching lots of videos, I'd look for one with a better video card. ATI is kinda...meh.
As far as the speakers go...they kinda suck, but again, older model, so they could be better now for all I know.

If you aren't using it as a main computer, it will do wonders. If you are, it will do just fine, as long as you take care of it. Like I said, mine is about 3 years old, and it's been my main computer for that entire time. It's held up fairly well and I've never really had any major problems with it.

I have a 1TB hard drive in an external caddy that I use purely for AKB48 and H!P stuff, and it's already ~700GB full. Dunno how people can live with 80GB etc!

Ohh I know! I donated a old HDD to a friend who only had a 40GB drive. I was shocked and I said 'omg, how do you manage to do anything with that much space!'. That's only enough room for like 5 games and a handful of video files.

Has anyone purchased any of those new ultra portable laptops yet? I'm curious about how good they are.
