    It was an English language Broadway musical with Lotte Lenya (my grand father had the record) and also a number one single for Bobby Darin: Mack the Knife.

    I bought the Deutsche Grammophon (almost) original recording based on my enjoyment of these English language versions.

    Lotte Lenya winning a Tony Award for the role of Jenny and apart from that also being the wife of Kurt Weill.
    (I'm pretty good at re-using trivia from Wikiwhatitsname :D )
    But I'm pretty sure there are many more version in other languages as well ..
    (just looked it up: 18 languages including Dutch) :D

    Anyway .. Miichan will have a, if they do an original version, duet in the second act followed by a solo ... (22 songs in the original)

    I'm weirdly excited about this :D I get excited when German culture or language is used in Japanese music and pop culture. A subunit (with my oshi Tano as the center) has a song called トロイメライにさよなら (Träumerei ni Sayonara) and Träumerei is a German word. And in the Team K version of the "So long!" drama music videos (with Oshima Yuuko as the main character) there are music sheets by Austrian and German musicians. It makes me emotionally invested so fast haha

    .... some other users are still butthurt about something that happened years ago and/or think Miichan should graduate so their oshis can move up in ranking. Well, I'm with Terry in Kousagi Dojo "why do you have to graduate, just stay!" :D ....

    ow, btw, if English speaking people complain about your grasp of English .. there is a simple question to ask "So, tell me, how many foreign languages do you speak?"

    but if you insist, I'm willing to play grammar police ... "to serve and correct"

    I agree, it's safest to stay within this thread. Some people don't want to accept that Miichan has had a pretty steady SSK rank since SSK has been established and don't understand why she's still in Senbatsu sometimes. Much deserved in my opinion. Miichan is one of the few people who managed to stay somewhat close to her original ranking ^^

    Watching videos like these, I think if I could be a little creepy too.

    Because of that, if life gave me the opportunity to be close to Miichan, I would stay away so as not to bother her.
