Oh, I see, so you're saying she hates Japanese people who likes Korean people right ?
I'm sorry, I thought she said she hates Japanese people who wants to be Korean people.

    My bad. Thanks.

As much as I find it nice that a tread is somewhat active,I'm getting tired of this discussion!Everyone is basically just repeating the same arguments!

Bad translations-she basically don't like Koreaboos-she doesn't dislike koreans or the culture per say, just people that try to be something they're not-she should be more careful on what she says...

    Let's move along!

So being a right-wing racist is now a compliment? I know it is getting bad in Europe, along with Ukraine, but I dont know Japan is heading that way too...

But that is exactly what @h1ghlanderz was trying to argue. Not liking something isn't the same as hating or disliking something.
Refer to Merriam Webster to spot the difference:
    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/like
    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hate
    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/dislike

Just having a look at one of the transcripts from a few pages ago
So a literal translation would be "I don't like people that like South Korea".

    Sidenote:
韓国 mostly refers to the southern part, Best Korea usually is referred to as 北朝鮮, not that it makes much difference.

    Back to playing devils advocate:
If I say 'I don't like Antarcticans' (chose a non existing ethnicity, so not to offend anyone. Because that's what the Internet nowadays is all about, being offended), that doesn't mean I hate them. You know there is this thing between like and hate called indifference.
It's one of these 'not black or white, but many shades of grey' things.

So what can we read out of the original quote?
Not much. It's so generally worded that it can imply anything. IMO most of the other translations I’ve seen around here like
'I don't like people that are crazy about Korea'
'I hate people that like Korea'
    'I hate Koreans'
are not accurate. Each of them is biased towards the opinion of the respective translator.
What doesn't help here is that Japanese isn't a very accurate language itself. Japanese often use the roundabout way of saying when voicing (strong) opinions, so you also have to take the persons character into context.

In dubio pro reo. She is only responsible for what she said and not for what other people understood (you know, there is a difference).

Way to take things out of context. Good job!

    1. No. Being a right-win racist is the worst.
    2. Tano is far from it. Saying she finds ridiculous that certain people try to fake-act a certain way is far from being racist.

I can't stand when I see white people trying to act kawaii and shit.
Does that makes me racist? Against white people? Against Japanese?
    Ugg.

What's getting bad is all the SJW's, Marxists, Communists and feminists who are constantly getting offended by everything and exercising their authoritarian ideology on those guilty of wrongthink.

Being a left-wing racist is also the worst.

Anyway Tano got herself noticed at least and non Koreaboos won't really see what she said as a bad thing.

    Of course.
But the nazis and the KKK were quite far from the left.

Sorry if people who just want the same rights for everyone offend you.
Some of us just want to live in peace like the majority do.

Yes I was so scared she'll quit being an Idol or anything, but I guess the scandal wasn't so big and it's a misunderstanding anyway. I don't see any of my kpopers friends talking about this so I think this is fine? A lot of people saying bad things about her but it was only on the first day, and then it quiet down. I guess I worry for nothing lol. Sorry!

Nationalism is quite in vogue right now. What a lot of the people in this thread are missing is the fact that there's a context to all of this, and within that context, everything from what Tano says to the way she approached or apologized to the situation is indicative of netouyo, hence why she's now called the 2ch queen.

But hey she has more fans now so whatever

I guess after all your effort to make a changes to your Team being abandoned by management and they gave the "captaincy" to someone who totally doesn't fit the Team images..
    You'll start DGAF on anything..

sooo is this some unknown dude or is he related to work.?
    bunshun loves tano huh...
Tbh I got the feeling managment started to give her a better treatment ( just a little tho) by placing her in units with pushed/popular members.
If she is able to get an agency and outside work - just let her leave AKB. I think she's better off with out this group now.

she keeps making blunders so yeah

Let her? I'd imagine management would like her to leave too since she keeps making problems.

I was more refering to her fans instead of managment. It's tough for me to express my thoughts in a foreign-language. I'm sorry for that. We as her fans should be prepared to see her leaving akb who ever initiated that. Guess that fits more.

Fans rarely had power to keep someone in the group. If any, idol is all about popularity so fans power is related to that. To make a girl popular or not.

Good things it wasn't taken 3-4 days earlier.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I agree with your point in that case.
