I agree on everything @radiohifi wrote except the talent part. Techi has a different kind of talent, but since this would be the tenth time I write about it, I'd spare you lol
If you see it you see, I guess, if you don't you don't, and either it's fine.

Every group can go on without their lead; I'm just not sure it would be enjoyable in the same measure for me. No matter how much I like other girls, without Techi is not the same. But I suppose, that's part of being a fan.
Anyway, I'm curious about the changes that are obviously going to happen

 

looks like 1st week sales will be over 800k and they really got a shot to make it to their 1st one million in 2 to 3 months.

This is the way i see thIngs Techi is the best and overall most talented performer in keya, but she doesn't always behave like an ideal 48\46 type idol. In general 48\46 group fans don't prioritize talent or performance. This is just one of many examples, but i have seen people argue Neru beIng center because she sold a lot of photobooks. In general it is the opposite for people outside of that circle.
This is why TechI being the eternal center (so far) gets a bit of backlash on places like this forum, but keya keeps growing and bringing in more non idol idol fans.

The group is not better perse without Hirate but not worse either.

It is BETTER however for the other members and their fans since the screentime has better distribution without Hirate around.

And I agree that there are several just as capable centers among the Keyaki members that would have shined just as well if given the Hirate push and opportunity instead.

For me, I think that every member deserves fair screen time but I am also fine with Techi always being the center. I don't have any favorites (except for the second generation of HIragana Keyaki, I don't know I just got used to Hiragana only having a first generation.) so I'm fine with the senbatsu. Also, Techi is not the center all the time. If you watch Keyakitte, Kakenai?, Techi isn't always the focus in the episodes. Just don't bash Techi okay? Also why do some people say Glass wo Ware! isn't the type you put on repeat for its music quality? Well, sorry to disappoint you but some people, including me, do put Glass wo Ware!, Fukyouwaon and their other songs on repeat for their music quality with or without MVs. I'm the type of fan who likes them overall, not just for their singing, or their dancing or their beauty only.

 

Arrg i'm just a new fan just got to know keyaki46 for like a month because the center (Techi) got me hooked her aura and charisma when she's the center is different. But now it feels like keyaki is changing centers i don't mind changing it because it's only natural because she just centered all 6 singles lol but having to perform without Techi and excluding her because she's more than the groups (Hopefully not) that's too bad.,I think many new fans are getting hooked when they watch or discovered Hirate chan perform. So I'm thinking without Hirate the mood is kinda different and not "unique" anymore, I hope keyaki will not become your typical idol groups. Though the performance of Glass wo Ware Live is cool and well done, it's nothing like the MV version with hirate's expressions and emotions. Well hope to see them perform it with all the members next time.

Finally, someone who has the same thoughts with me though I knew Keyakizaka46 because of Kyonko and Ponchan. I also don't mind changing the center but for the Sixth Single's live performances I want Techi to be the center because it will not be the same without Techi since her performance in the MV fits so perfectly.

It's obvioulsy going to reach 1m in Oricon, every Keyaki single has sold at least 150k more than first week, there is no reason to think this one won't

 

why not? If you look at past singles.. they always managed to sell at least 170K more after their first week. 1M is not out of reach on oricon. (except sekai wa..) Given how popular Gklass is on digital rankings.. this will likely to happen
