That's....that's a pretty effed up question over there. I don't know what "donating their allowance to the poor" has anything to do with them being idols. And some of them joined the group for financial purposes too. Makes me glad I wasn't there or they'll be able to see my eyes rolling.

 

Same here. They think that the job would appear fabulous and has a hefty salary, when it's not. They haven't started full-time yet.

Just like before, like last year, some reporters like to throw a curveball question, see if they could answer that even if that question sounds terribly inappropriate.

I hope HHE have make MNL48 video CV first, technicality, vocabs and anything about MNL & AKB first to expose ... To avoid some unnecesary questions

To be fair, I don't think there's anything HHE could have done to prevent that question. It's so unrelated that I suspect she only asked that question to "fish" for reactions. That's a technique reporters do all the time. In time, they may have the leverage to screen questions but for now, we'll just have to stay put and cross our fingers.

may i ask if MNL48 is still a segment on showtime???

 

I am currently listening the Press-Con, I don't have any idea so I'd like just to ask/clarify, is it really allowed for the media to interfere with the allowances/salaries the girls will get?

That Duterte question tho. Why why why. Filipino Pride thingy? Ugh.

The issue was brought up when Abby mentioned that their motivation is not driven by money. It is a clever way for the mainstream media to look at it.

My opinion about the Duterte question is that it is a ridiculous question and shouldn't even be asked. The media should not force/interfere the girls about their salaries they get from the management but it is up to the girls on how they use it. I was unexpecting more question about when they will debut,japan,theater,training,etc.. but since it is the medias and don't have much knowledge about the JPOP culture so for some reason i'm expecting a political question. Jem did her best answering the question.

Watching the press conference earlier, I have come to a conclusion that HHE needs to advertise MNL48 more to the Public in my opinion. A lot are still clueless to what MNL48 is and what it is for.

There's no more segment for MNL48 in Showtime, so they wont appear anymore.
