Single AKB48 53rd [Sentimental Train] (2018/09/19)

Just the few notes in the beginning of the chorus. The dance does feature than hand thingy nogi did too though.

 

I think if someone doesn't know AKB or any 48/46 group then this song is really nice, it's a good song. However, for those who know 48/46 groups, you can't deny the similitaries to Sayonara no Imi on the chorus. it's not the first time this happens but usually not with a-sides. Like for example Yuko's grad song Kyou Made no Melody's chorus sounds very alike to Acchan & Takamina's duet Omoide no Hotondo's chorus. another example is HKT's b-side Natsu no Mae's chorus that sounds alike to AKB's b-side Sasameyuki Regret's chorus. There are probably some more but I know these ones LOL

and here the chorus of Sentimental Train sounds like Sayonara no Imi's chorus and both are a-side, and it's a Nogi song too... I mean I'm sure they knew that but they still decide to release it as a-side for AKB and I find it kinda sad that they think so little of AKB right now that they give them a song that sounds alike with a popular song of Nogi. I mean, AKB deserves better than this, actually none of the 48/46 groups deserve to release a-sides that are recycled melodies. I guess if this was a b-side, I wouldn't mind.

Anyway still a nice song but it's not fun when you listen to a song and all you can think about is another song, then you might as well listen to the original one. Management really need to put a bit more efforts with AKB and treat them a bit better even if they're past their peak... they deserve better.

Btw the first performance was pretty good.

 

I don't love this song... which is frustrating for me because the SSK senbatsu single is always my favorite of the year. I would've preferred a Love Trip-style song for Jurina finally winning. I'd be just as disappointed had Dasu won, as well.

And it sucks that Jurina's health isn't good when she finally got the moment she's wanted for so long. That first performance definitely didn't provide what she deserves.

And I do agree that it's a very Nogi style song.. at least the AKB girls have a better singing style that isn't reminiscent of monotone chants. It's like the Nogi girls have never heard of vibrato. And it's just my personal taste... I'll look forward to the b-sides, I guess.

 

I listened to this song a day later the live broadcast without reading any comments or spoilers on stage48 or anywhere else and first thing I thought after listening on the first run, it's a Nogi style song.

Then I came in to this thread and saw everyone is yelling Nogi top of their lungs in their reaction comments so I'm pretty sure it's a Nogi song.

And also I found this Niconico comment video and everyone went "NOGIZAKA!!" "SAYONARA NO IMI!!" when the chorus part dropped at 2:25 lmao

It's Nogi style and everyone knows it. And on a side note everyone was having a blast at trophy chan and trash talking Dasu as well.

 

Every AKB single since High Tension sounds like a B side track. No melody I can sing along with, and just reminds me of something else.

Same. And it's good for me since I love these kind of songs. I couldn't deal with another Jabaja or Teacher Teacher.

 

Me too. Sayonara no Imi is one of my favourite Nogi’s songs ever and I like this song just fine. Partly because I like Sayonara Imi’s later half of chorus + bridge and dislike the instrumental but I like this song’s verses + first half of chorus + instrumentals. So I have really different impressions of the two songs.

 

even tho disliked this song af. unlike them who still trashtalking dasu , i think her performances was (always) very expressive and thats heartwarming and cool tho.

 

Dasu always performs like she just remembered a joke and is trying not to laugh out loud.

For me I never would call Dasu a busu tho. So I always go whaaaaa whenever she diminishes her self-image as being one.

These dasu-antis are just mean people.

wow I only know Rika and Ayuka from that list lol. I really don't follow STU tho so I did give myself a little benefit of the doubt there, but even so I don't know the other girls lol.

Rika deserves the center. It takes tons of guts to do showroom for hours and hours with your boyfriend in the same room
