It never was a fan voting to begin with. Also it's not unlikely they already decided on the winners before even posting the videos online, just in order for the winners to have more time to prepare for the show.

Yes, Yokochan was good, but she messed up the kick part. I guess that's fatal enough?

 

I will change to a faux vocal teacher when any of these gals ruined my favorite song. thankfully none of my faves picked my favourite song

 

If we can hear when something is off pitch or out of tune there's zero reason why we can't critique something. It's not like we have to be English teachers to think a story is bad *coughTWILIGHTcough*, music teachers to think random clanging is bad or a Formula 1 driver to be able to tell that someone is driving poorly on the road.

Aside from the tone deaf or pitch deaf, any one of us who is objective has the ability to do so. Same for the dancing, unless we're rhythm-deaf or incapable of seeing sharp movements and good angles, we have the ability to analyze dancing.

 

The ONLY thing I would have wanted to be different in the performance was the cut of the song. They should have done the whole bridge and crescendo and ended with the final "no way man no no no no way man" part and boom done. This cut killed the build-up at the bridge. But, ah well. Pleasantly surprised to see an STU that's not Nana at the front; give'er some TV experience and exposure. A much better performance. Now if only management would invest in training the girls...

the only one of the chosen three i saw was Miyuna's, who I thought was one of the best. I'm really glad they seem to have actually chosen based on talent instead of popularity although i still wish Manami had gotten a spot

I meant it honestly. After watching it, this is the first time I did a standing ovation at home, to a youtube video. Betcha NWM is a work of art that need no gimmick to sell

 

I'm very positively surprised the top 3 are pretty unknown members (had to look up the center and it's an STU KKS! Wow)! I thought they would definitely go for members that are fairly popular but danced somewhat well. This is great

 

all of STU members are KKS tho

 

technically, they reserve the KKS status for the 5 draftees. Michu is a part of the 1st gen and they're called... basically just that.

Miss Miyu Takeuchi posted a solo cover of the song! It's always nice to hear a different sound and to see the actual choreo. I know it's aesthetics but I wish her mom shot it a bit farther away.
