So, that's a real surprise, no IZ*One on AKB48's Red-White Music Fest. What did they do in Japan then?
Nah. Koreans love gratefulness. If they properly tell Korean fans beforehand they will attend the send-off concert for a precious senior, fans will be understanding. Sasshi can't retire yearly. It will be even better if they need not to explain as AKS can find a way to squeeze the whole IZ*One into the concert. We can see now why OTR didn't say Sakura and Nako would never again participate 48 group's activity separately.

About Sasshi, like barely a month ago when she visited Thailand, she said she would like to come back with HKT48 team. She abruptly changed her mind it seemed.

This is not surprising since Nako and Hii didn't have many chances to shine.
They don't have relevant parts in LVER and can't show themselves a lot in reality shows since they just aren't fluent in Korean yet

They said they want to film a travel reality show. That would definitely be interesting, but I don't think they'll be able to within their 1st year since they have to build their popularity first.

IZ*ONE sold 200,000 albums! Really impressive numbers. For those who want some comparisons maybe here is one or two.
Their albums usually costed 19 dollars on average from what I saw (if anyone has any better sources) if their album was priced at an average 48 Girl Group single it'd be like they sold 316,000 in Singles which is really good. The only GG's to have surpassed 200K in the last 5 years have been (TWICE, SNSD, BP) and now IZ*ONE.

    Really fantastic numbers.

The competition next year is going to be tough so lets hope they can have a hit in either JPN or KOR!

I paid roughly $17 for my COLOR*IZ (Rose Ver.) album (plus $3 for shipping).
I paid roughly $13 for my NO WAY MAN (Regular Type A) single (plus $3 for shipping).

But the COLOR*IZ album offers a lot more than an AKB single. The CD itself is a photobook (not just a plastic case), you get a small foldable photobook of Wonyoung, two posters and two photocards (as opposed to one photocard in AKB singles and a second one you get depending where you pre-order). On AKB singles you also only get 3 songs (I wouldn't count the off-vocal versions) and COLOR*IZ has 8 songs. Because of the small number of songs I still wouldn't count it as an album but for the sake of argument, I paid $29 for Bokutachi wa Ano Hi no Yoake wo Shiteiru +$3 for shipping.

Because it isn't really comparable to either an AKB single nor an album, I wouldn't go as far and say "they would've sold 316k at AKB prices."

Isn't it the norm nowadays for korean releases? I bought Dreamcatcher's korean single and japan single, the packaging is so different.

In Japan? Depends on what kind of gimmick they will offer. If it goes with AKS' formula, they can break 300k easily I suppose. What is the highest number of Kpop artist sales in Japan?

GAON's yearly girl group charts in graphs showing Twice is a wall

As (G)I-DLE lead IZ*One by a close gap (due to its digital single comeback) and has better vote power and is better loved by critics (as its both a-side tracks are composed by its member), likely, it will win Rookie of the Year at Seoul Music Awards.

But Sasshi's send-off concert, aka grad concert, has been announced?

I suppose the said top 3 means top 3 on physical chart only as you may see that there are quite some groups above by big gaps on digital and overall charts. As Black Pink won't ever release more than 1 album yearly (doubt if it will ever release any next year) while IZ*One will release at least 2 albums next year, it should be a piece of cake to surpass Black Pink's physical sale.

Chaeryung, Chaeyeon's younger sister, is expected to debut in first quarter of next year in JYP's new girl group with other 4 girls. Like her elder sister, Chaeryung also is a dope dancer but their dance styles are kinda different. It's gonna be moving to see them meet on TV show.

Ah, I just used the official pricing for the No Way Man single. It's highest price and lowest price. Combined them and averaged them out at $12.01. So thats what I am saying. Though, we can agree to disagree :) . I hope you enjoyed that album!
