IZ*ONE 1st single [Suki to iwasetai] (2019/02/06)

It's much harder to sell out compared to the akb-HS because you can't stack. So people are discouraged from buying more than 2 tickets in one slot since you'd have to line up again even if you have 2 tickets for the same member. If you have 3 tickets in one slot be it for the same or different members, it's not certain you'll be able to use more than 2. But yah, half the k-lines are doing really well.

I've been reading comments about people not winning on their applications so we could have quite a bit of nearly sold out or half sold out slots already and it's just that we can only see the sold out slots. Anyway, I hope no member feels bad in the end as a result of the sales. They're supposed to be 12=1 but this is sort of making them compete against each other although the system was designed to spread out the tickets a lot more. In 48G, it's not uncommon to use all 6 first round applications on one of the top members.

i love the dances move!! for me it's typical gfriend dance

 

The song has a good melody and the chorus is a little catchy but it needs to be arranged differently. It doesn't have to have a strong beat like LVER but it should at least be more dynamic. Compare this to Suki ni Nacchau Darou, which is J-pop sounding but also has a lot of interesting things happening behind the vocals. I'm sure that song was just as bland before Korean producers got their hands on it.

The song is a grower. It's very disco 90s like something max or old Kodak kumi would release.

Oh my god, I just love it, I love the song. It's just right up my alley. The mixture of dramatic feel and playfulness in the song/lyrics and sound made a great combination. There is both bop to make it sound fun and melancholy sound gave it a little more depth. I loved it in first listen.

It's just something I don't quite get with kpop-ish songs. To me they are a bit too eventful and need more listens to get used to and then some more to get the sound to repeat over and over in my mind.

 

Agree with you on the melody, but maybe the beat progression appears very flat because the volume was very low to me. Hopefully the studio version will sound better.

 

They need to drop the MV real soon for us to judge

 

The song sounds like some sort of '00s summer pop hit and anime opening mashup. The anime being a lighthearted romcom with lots of bright colours and a few dramatic moments in the last couple of episodes. If it were a western song, the MV would totally take place at some beach party type thing, so a little surprised(?) it's being released in the wintertime
