Nishino Nanase (Nanasemaru) / 1st Gen

Do you think she receives any royalties related to the Doiya-san character she created? I see it all over the 7th Year Birthday Live stuff for her graduation concert, and I can't help but wonder how many people are gonna buy that. I certainly would if I knew how to navigate the foreign purchasing queue on that site.

But I wonder if she received any compensation for creating the character? Would she have been smart enough to ask for it? Would an idol even know to ask? Or did the agency keep her from receiving any royalties? She would certainly be one of the more richest members if she did.

 

Maybe, I think copyright is applied automatically here. I agree this would benefit her a lot even if she was paid little out of all profit. Unless there has already been a clause in the contract which stated that everything she created during her time as a member belonged to Sony (which usually happen in technology companies), I don't see any reason why she is not given any royalties. Even if there's a clause, it doesn't mean she cannot be paid anything (I have not learned about this part yet )

 

im not sure about royalties. but afaik the girls will get extra ‘fees’ for their individual goods which being purchased , so i think she’ll got paid well for all the doiya-san goods she had created for her graduation concert.

then i believe nogizaka46shop wouldn’t release anymore doiya-san goods in the futures

Basically, I just followed a few English-speaking fans on twitter (most of who are active here) who comments and rewteet almost every news (and fun video, pic, gif) ASAP. Although I don't understand Japanese (except for Naachan's name and a few basic words), I also follow some Japanese accounts. Just using GG and based on their attached pic, the remaining is guesswork.

For me, YES! I've seen Asahinagu and Video Girl Ai and I feel she portrayed her characters wonderful!!
And I hope she will have more dorama in the future
