Rocket punch will perform in KBS Music Bank's K-pop Concert in Gangneung on Oct 4. Also in the line-up are
Red Velvet, Seventeen, Twice, NCT Dream and Baek Jiyoung. Do I have to say Twice, Red Velvet and Seventeen are top K-pop idols?

The concert will later be aired as a special episode of Music Bank.

Gangneung's Coffee Festival will start in that day too. A nice way to use K-pop to promote tourism.

Unfortunately, I don't think their wish (winning Rookie of the Year) can come true as their rivals include Itzy.

This channel Eng subbed Rocket Punch clips. Some fun trivia I learnt through these clips were
- Sohee started learning kendo after she saw, while playing online game in internet cafe, the ads from a kendo gym that a new student would be given the money for online game.
- Suyun did high jump in elementary school.
- Yeonhee was almost a short track athlete of her middle school but her parent didn't allow her to.
- Yunkyung ran very fast that she could catch the bus that already left.

Someone said they might proceed the promotion with a b-side track. Here it is.

I read that "no jam" derived from "jaemi obseo" - no funny skit.

The fansign is more frequent this time as oppose to twice weekly previously. They have done fansign on 20th, 21st and 22nd.

Let's agree this photoshoot isn't so good. Yeonhee was too far aback that she looked so small. Juri and Yunkyoung looked weird that it took a moment for me to recognize them. Here is a brief summary of the inteview.

Ep 00 looked like the preview of the whole show.

I'm watching Queendom in which Lovelyz, Rocket Punch's senior, participates. This isn't just the battle among participating groups but also the battle among back-up teams of the involving agencies. And, in my opinion, Lovelyz performed poorly so far, showing the in-house producing team of Woollim was weaker.

 

Same. Feeling a bit bad for Lovelyz. And we can't blame company size since Mamamoo's RBW and OMG's WM are not exactly as big as FNC and Cube

 

Agreed. Lovelyz entire career has been based on cute themes so for them to perform a girl crush concept was a stretch. Oh My Girl I just knew were going perform at a high level because they have a lot of experience with competitive type shows.

Rocket Punch debut I feel has been a good success. Just casually observing their numbers, their debut has been inline or exceed that of most girl group debuts. I think ultimately Juri made a choice that will allow her to be a performing idol for another seven years. If she had stayed in AKB she probably would have graduated a lot earlier

Which is a shame. It has good training ground to produce highly skilled singers but then can't support them to full potential.

Lovelyz' concept has been more mature lately. Still, it's so far from fierce. Brown Eyed Girls isn't just girl crush but fierce/sassy. If it were just girl crush, Lovelyz must have done much better. The performance might have been saved if it weren't just strictly cover, if the music and stage performance had been adjusted to better fit Lovelyz' members. AoA was weaker than Mamamoo voice and energy wise but the design of its performance buried its weaknesses. And, to know that "sexy" Ah-Choo was the decision of the agency, not the member, made me skeptical about Woollim's taste.

 

Woollim is in the position to must push Rocket Punch hard. Its other groups are
- Infinite, disbanding
- Lovelyz, been 5 years old and cannot rise but decline
- Golden Child, utter flop

Also, Rocket Punch has been scheduled to perform in Rakuten Girls Awards which seems to be a pretty big event. I assume this means Woollim already found the decent partner to promote Rocket Punch in Japan and, sooner or later, we'll get to hear "[Bim Bam Bum] Japanese version". Japanese activities will be a big boost to the income.
