Just to repeat what was posted already since people keep on missing the post:

There is NO OFFICIAL LIST OF KOUHAKU PERFORMERS YET.

While it's more likely for this year, compared to recent years, to be the year AKB won't be invited, but can we at least wait for any official announcement first?

And so far, only this year's announcers/hosts were announced.

But, Kouhaku doesn't have specific target group. Every Japaneses are its target group.

Then, it makes no sense to omit AKB.

And? Nana didn't fit the center, it should be someone vigorous and funny. No one could save that tragedy anyway.

Definitely not the most controversial. What controversy has AKB (not NGT) been in this year? 2 members had inappropriate photos with their boyfriends?

 

That would be the point, yes. They've already shown they don't care about making the center fit the song, so while it's true she should, there's no reason for people to give that too much thought in discussing the ideal center.

 

I actually like Jabaja, but only when it is at 1.20x speed. How come Nana doesn't "fit" that song?

 

It's not her fault if the song isn't great though.
Put anyone as center, the song remains a lackluster.
Naachan doesn't have to prove anymore the performer she is.
