The CDTV Christmas Special performance was awesome! I know we talked the other day about AKB performing their older songs and how it can be an issue, but in this case, it's totally suitable for the show since it's a Christmas Special so it's logical to me to see them perform a medley, and the idea to perform a medley of top 10 most popular AKB songs at karaoke is great! Of course it's full of older songs but they're all classics! and I love them all. Not only this but the girls looked really good! and the stage with Christmas decorations was so pretty, colorful, and lively! and the audience with Christmas hats LOL. The girls did great and it made me smile I enjoyed every song! it reminded me of the old times, when they performed medleys or Heavy Rotation with all kind of costumes and it was always so colorful and fun. I felt a good energy in this performance and it was very refreshing!

Seeing Annin back also made it more refreshing, it feels like forever since we saw her and I often think about it. I'm glad to see her with AKB after such a long time and she looks really beautiful! Seeing Miichan was nice too considering she announced grad and I think it's good to include her in some performances before she leaves. Btw the message board that Miichan holds when she centered Aitakatta was translated by innosu in her thread, I'll share it here since I think it's a sweet message:

The reaction from fans online seem to have been great, and Iiwake Maybe trended! I didn't expect this song to trend of all the songs but I'm glad, it's one of my favorites! Some people became nostalgic of the old AKB again and Acchan (like me XD). it's a good thing because at least they watch the new performance and I saw a lot of people asking for the names of the girls in this performance (also seems like Rinrin with short hair is getting more noticed LOL I saw more people asking who she is still missing her long hair but she does look so cute!)

I also want to add it's such a nice thing to see Yukirin and also Yuihan with AKB. I'm really glad they have these girls in the group, not just because they are the most relevant and they'll help AKB a lot in the next years (both of them have no plans to graduate in next 2-3 years), but because they're always cute and fresh regardless of how many years they stay! and they have a presence that makes AKB look like AKB which is important considering how much the group changes through the years. it's like they help to identify the group, which is important especially for the general public who doesn't keep up with the changes. and I love both of them so I'm just happy to have them here and I love that Yukirin centers 365!

Wow, AKB48 is going to perform in the first half of the Kouhaku...when was the last time that happened?

 

Yeah but like some of my friends said, they did not even know that same-day ticket sale was available, otherwise they will just show up in the theater. Some others just waited for Pajadora senshuuraku, Moeka grad stage, or New Year stage. Like you know, not everyone will be as lucky as you to enter the same theater two-three times in a month. Like it has been several months for me to get direct win, always enter from cancel machi or just lucky to get miokuri If not direct win I do prefer just miokuri though, got to see the members I like and will meet at HS for free
And some already went for year-end holidays

 

Well, for that stage is was women's limited so obviously if it allowed men it would sell out easier.

You said you haven't won in months, do you have fanclubs, how much do you apply, do you apply for AKB only or sister groups too? On average I win about 3 times per month recently, however 1 of those is often a special stage that was easier to win (September birthdays or women's stage), I apply for both AKB and SKE (AKB about 3-4 times per week, SKE about 2 times per week but of course depending on the schedule of specific week) and I have 4 fanclubs. If you have no or only 1 fanclub and apply only rarely to super popular shows (weekend shows, shows only featuring top members etc.) then obviously the win rate would be lower.

 

Those friends of mine are women

I have nihonbashira, eizo, and mobile, also for stages I really want to see I apply for ippan too. I basically apply for pajadora, mokugekisha, tetsuna, and special stages that I can apply (so no jogen and certain birthday month stage).
I have seen reset and megami several times already, so only occassionaly apply for it. The last one I see was Megu's seitan, but like I said, got in because the kyanmachi number was pretty good at 37. Usually got above #80 or even #100 which basically nearly impossible to win

 

But why didn't those friends of yours apply for the stage normally then if they wanted to go? If they are fans, they know that's the standard procedure, instead of relying on "on the day" tickets that AKB almost never does.

Well I guess #80 or #100 cancel machis are through ippan, the ones you get from fanclubs should be better (of course might still not get in depending on the popularity of the stage and your luck). I apply for women's instead of ippan (though with bad results lately) so I can only get cancel machi through fanclubs, I definitely seem to have a good rate of outrights wins compared to other people I've talked to though. But if you don't win at least once per month with those fanclubs that's quite weird, especially Pajama Drive was easy to win (until the last performance was announced), I could probably get into it 2 times per month if I applied for all the performances but I stopped after winning a few. My friend who only has Hashira and only applies for performances Yuiri is in (and not all of them due to schedule issues) tend to win about once per 3-4 months, sometimes outright win and sometimes cancel machi.

I'm surprised as I realized Aitakatta was released more than a decade ago

 

Like I said, some people just waiting for the ones they really want to see. Because on average we only have once or twice to win.

Regarding the winning, new accounts or new-ish reactivated accounts tend to have easier chance to win. That male J fan which you also know was having turn of luck after resetting his 10+ years account. After never win any theater stage, to winning Reset and Eito stage 3 times in a row in 1 week.
But this might be getting off topic, maybe move to winning the application thread?
