Hot takes from this 1. They finally ditched Akimoto from the name of the company along with the other 2 original investors Kubota and whats-his-face.

2. Yoshinori trying to get rid of the stench of the AKS name after it's become so associated with the Maho assault and general NGT scandal

3. They're trying to pay less tax by setting up a pyramid structure

 

I read it many times and no where in the article says that AKB48 or any group is going to be disbanded.

2. If it works, it will be a good thing. However, I'm afraid that the stench of Maho affair may also stick with the 48 brand, not just AKS.

 

Does anyone even use "vernalisation"? In Japan or elsewhere? The katakana version gets like a 10th the Google hits of バーナル (vernal), though I haven't looked closely at what those hits are for either. Vernal + Blossom seems a much simpler and better reading, unless they've officially used "Vernalisation" somewhere I haven't found yet.

AKS has been slowly not giving to local 48G anyways as they been focusing on expanding oversea empires across the globe for the past 3 years. It's better now to let go and give it to people who actually cares to develop and invest in the local 48G. Just look at how many more shows/sponsors that local management team can bring in for SKE/NMB/STU. Group management localization is the answer.

My assumption is AKS/Yoshinori Natsuko ditched their responsibility from AKB/HKT/NGT because of wota's angry towards how AKS handling NGT scandal and lack of individual promotions so they changed their name and angry wota can't blame AKS again (and they can gain more ￦￦￦, ¥¥¥ and $$$). Sigh.

Now reading some WI*ZONE' tweets claimed that Vernalossom is inspired by IZ*ONE's flower theme

They could've got more momentum expanding their influence overseas if they create more international events in the early 2010s but they don't *sigh

 

Can we expect AKB-only singles going forward? I'd like to see that, SSK or Kennin members should be the only places for sister groups imo.

（1）長年の構想　実は各グループの独立化は、AKSの長年の悲願だった。5年前の15年に新潟県に国内5番目のNGT48が発足したころから、関係者は「将来的には全グループが独立して、AKSはホールディングス会社化したいと思っている」と明かしていた。実際に、6番目のSTU48は博報堂などが経営に参画し、発足時から独立。SKEとNMBも昨年には買い手が見つかり、独立していった。突然のように見えるが、経営計画としては長年の悲願だった。
1) It's been a long-time idea: In truth each group's autonomy was AKS's long-time pipe dream. Ever since the time of the foundation in the Niigata prefecture of the fifth group, NGT48, five years ago in 2015, industry associates have made it clear that "We'd want all groups to get autonomous in the future, with AKS turning into a holdings company". And in fact, for the sixth group, STU48, Hakuhodo & co. participated into its management and it was already autonomous from the very foundation. Even for SKE and NMB, buyers were found last year and they turned autonomous as well. While it may seem sudden, it was actually a long-time pipe dream as a business administration project.

（2）リスクの分散化　AKSは「経営・運営の強化、効率化が目的。より各地域と連携できるように」と説明したが、本音には危機回避、イメージの回復の意図が含まれている。AKSが、創業以来かつてないダメージを負ったのが、昨年1月に明らかになったNGT48の元メンバー山口真帆がファンに襲われる事件だ。同事件のあおりで、同じAKSが運営するAKBやHKTもイメージダウンを余儀なくされた。10年も続いたビッグイベントAKB48選抜総選挙は中止になり、AKBのシングル曲発売も延期された。今後は全グループが独立することで、共倒れしない体制にと考えている。

（3）経営者と経営計画の違い　AKSは、2005年(平17)12月8日にAKBが結成された直後の06年1月20日に、AKBの運営会社として設立された。当初は、初代の代表取締役社長が100％株主のオーナー企業だったが、11年にパチンコメーカー京楽産業が資本参加し、その京楽出身の吉成夏子氏が、14年から代表取締役社長に就任し、同社の株式も100％保有した。オーナーが吉成社長に代わると、積極的に海外に進出。現在、アジア諸国に全9グループが誕生し、タイのBNK48は大ブレークするまでに成長した。吉成社長は、自分の肝いりの海外事業に専念し、国内グループは、ほかのスタッフらに託す決断をした。
3) Differences among administrators and business-running plans: Shortly after AKB was formed on December 8, 2005, AKS was then set up as the management agency of AKB, on January 20, 2006. Initially, it was an agency with the president/chief executive being the owner of 100% of the stocks; then in 2011 pachinko maker Kyoraku made a capital participation, and later since 2014 Yoshinari Natsuko, hailing from Kyoraku [***], finally took office as the president/chief executive herself, with 100% of the company's stocks being held by her.
