Single Nogizaka46 25th [Shiawase no Hogoshoku] (2020/03/25)

Iku-chan wrote in her 3/6 blog post that the concept for Shiawase no Hogoshoku’s MV was “the American graduation party called prom.”
Uhhhh ok, I didn’t catch that. What kind of proms do they think happen in the U.S? I guess the last scene could look like a school auditorium. But the fashion is more like the style in the U.S. back when an old guy like Aki-P was at the age for prom… coincidence?

If they represent Maiyan’s years with Nogi, the tile where she’s all alone seems gloomy. Surely that would be the year before she joined Nogi?

As an image song for Maiyan though, I think the indoors-ness and "constructed" setting could even be considered more fitting for her. That is, Nanamin and Nanase’s MVs referenced their lives beyond the studio, and it felt more natural because their desire to occasionally retreat from the demands of idol life was more part of who they were, even part of their image as an idol. But I think more so than any of the other aces, Maiyan devoted her entire being to being an idol. Her idol life is (was) her life, which is why she’s so unerringly pleasant and incredibly professional. Not that Maiyan couldn’t be naturally pleasant or responsible, but to be so “flawless,” that’s something you have to cultivate within yourself with a lot of self-discipline. It’s also why she doesn’t have "hobbies." But she actually does have interests, they’re just all things that support her career – makeup, fashion, exercise, diet. She very deliberately keeps her private self private too, I don’t remember hearing much about her personal life while she was in Nogi, but I know she didn’t like to confide her troubles even to Sayuringo for a long time. The MV is very performative, so it feels more like a goodbye to Maiyan the idol, rather than trying to see through her camouflage, so to speak. Because that’s who she wanted to be. A quintessential idol. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

That song is so good and perfect. Why doesn't it become the A-side?
Ikuta's voice at the end was so astounding "Jibun ni makito nare nai..."!

 

I see - need clear version. Rena's voice distract me a lot.
Sanshoku - it is not my cup of tea.
Sayonara stay with me - like it! Catchy and easy listening. I can play it over and over. Maybe my current favorite coupling on this single.

 

I already love the song after hearing the preview but this one I won't be satisfied until I listen to the final release. 2:37-2:41 mark hits the spot.
There's no MV so I hope to see a performance. I played it many times now so this could end up as my favorite for this single.

 

4th gen song - the chorus is really catchy but as a whole is quite forgetable.

Sayonara Stay with me - now this sounds amazing, already like it a lot since the preview, the full version doesn't disappoint. Definitely a kami song.
I would love it if this were Maiyan's grad single too, but I think the lyric of Shiawase is more suitable for Maiyan's farewell.

fantastic : god, i hope they don't put this as eizouken live-action song or something. nogi fans wont be able to hide their Alt faces in the anime community. but who cares though.

Shiawase no Hogoshoku (MV) - neat.
Either the choreograph could have been done better or the song itself just never be enough for filling and inducing the choreographer's imagination; sometime nogi's move seems so awkward, not so smooth. Take it positively, I guess they did not have enough time for rehearsal.
also, they seem to have put a lot of thoughts on visual detail, a feast for trained or obsessive eyes. what i love so much is how they candidly caught maiyan burst into tears. that unscripted everyone.

Sayonara Stay With Me is good but not THAT good to be chosen as a title track imo.

 

It most likely is going to be used in the movie because it's got the 3 members who star in it. It would be a strange coincidence if it wasn't.

So far, I really like "I see..." and "Sayonara Stay With Me" as my favorites.
That Eizouken unit song is not bad but like Shiawase, not my type.
I can't wait to hear the other song, from 2ki and 3ki also Maiyan solo.

 

The chorus is fire!
The vocal line just before seems very inspired by Synchronicity though.

Shiawase no Hogoshou looks like a very good b-side. I like song and MV. but a don't think that this single is good as last single for Shiraishi...
