Want to copy-and-paste this from the Stage48 post dump:

The United States government has issued a GLOBAL Level 3 Health Advisory to reconsider ANY travel abroad.

This doesn't explicitly mention Japan, but this is happening on the night after the World Health Organization has declared the COVID-19 coronavirus a pandemic.

And this was also announced shortly after President Trump calls a travel ban from Europe. Not Asia, but still.

And more recently, the Japanese government has been told to continue withholding any events for another ten days or so, and even the baseball season has to be postponed for the time being.

Now my biggest concern is if Japan closes its doors to foreign citizens all because of the evolving coronavirus concerns. This coronavirus feels superficial to us.

The virus is exaggerated. It is a pity that so much is canceled.:|

The panic is real unfortunately but
An extra virus in circulation in addition to the traditional ones doesn't help any population

It's really not exaggerated. It's highly contagious, it spreads through the air and there's pretty much no way to keep yourself from getting infected. The only thing you can do is to either stay home or avoid places with large groups of people and hope you don't come in contact with someone who is already infected. At the rate this is going, most of the population will get infected, and we still need to wait at least a year for vaccine. Now, it's obviously regrettable that so many events are being canceled. I, for one, would very much like Miichan to have her graduation concert, but honestly at this point it's much more important to try to contain the virus as much as possible, which means that canceling these events is the best we can do right now, especially because older people or people with other ilnessess aren't able to fight the virus properly.

Should we have a separate thread at the Stage48 lobby forum for COVID-19 news outside of 48G/46G?

    Churi and now Miichan's :(.

I'm guessing we won't know when Maiyan's grad concert will be until this dies down in Japan.

Protip for people who like posting on these forums. Don't let me catch you posting bogus information downplaying Coronavirus. Trying to encourage people not to panic or bulk buy is one thing. Telling people there is nothing to worry about or a variation on that could get you banned. Stage48 will not be a source of disinformation.

If you want to be sure you won't be penalised for lying, provide a reasonably reliable source that backs up what you're saying. Even if it's wrong you will get a lot of points for trying to verify your arguments before posting.

Don't know if this has been posted on, but the AKB teams have been having live shows on their youtube channel the past few days. Again I could be late to the party, but it has been really fun to finally see full shows and just wanted to spread the love. I am guessing this is due to the virus lockdown of shows.

Miichan TTWTT but it's the best they can do. I would hate for Miichan or Team 8's concerts to be a focus of infection for tons of wota. They are only doing the sensible thing.

    RIP any overseas travel plans.

Australia and New Zealand have advised its residents not to travel abroad (and are closing its borders to foreign passenger traffic), and I'm hearing the US is also going to follow suit.

Had we not cancel our trip at the moment, our trip would still be cancelled, but due to governmental orders and the airlines' subsequent move to cut off international flight traffic as a result of it.

There are no plans to postpone or cancel the Olympics.

(And they really shouldn't. that would be a really good way for "Soros" to fuck Japan to hell financially... again...)

The entire state of California has gone on lockdown (they call it 'stay at home'; already SF Bay Area have been under 'shelter in place', but it's essentially still a LOCKDOWN!!!), who knows which area is going next...
