The original manga series by Owara Sumito is currently running in Shogakukan Inc.’s Monthly Big Comic Spirits, the manga won Oreman Awards and Bros Comic Awards in 2017.

The story centers around three high school girls Asakusa Midori (Saito Asuka), Mizusaki Tsubame (Yamashita Mizuki), and Kanamori Sayaka (Umezawa Minami) join Eizouken (Video Research Club) and turn their anime dreams into reality. Asakusa Midori wants to create an anime, but she needs a team. Luckily she meets Mizusaki Tsubame who has artistic dreams of being an animator, Asakusa Midori's friend Kanamori Sayaka, a girl with the good financial sense, joins them and bring the anime project to fruition.

Highlights:
-Shinuchi and Manatsu are playing a lot of Animal Crossing. Momoko is playing even more. Hinako is also constantly signed in, and Matsumura occasionally.
-Manatsu has been captain for 8 months. How has it been? Manatsu says she’s been tsukkomi’d a lot and feels like she has to get her act together more (Shinuchi: “Why so serious?”). More members are calling her captain now. But recently, Kazumin has been teasing her by murmuring “Captain, Captain” from behind her back.
-Shinuchi called Reika recently and asked her what she’s been up to. Reika’s been getting up at 6AM and coloring in coloring books.
-Shinuchi has a long list of things she wants to clean out, now that she has time… but so far she’s been playing Animal Crossing.

The members who have mentioned playing Animal Crossing in their blogs or on ANN have increased:
Manatsu, Matsumura, Shinuchi, Hinako, Hori, Momoko, Renka, Riria, Christie, Mio, Kaki, Seira, Rei, Mayu.

Rei lent her game to Ayame once, but Ayame didn’t know what to do and just started digging a bunch of holes.

A bit of an offtopic question, but is Animal Crossing such a great game? Seems everyone is playing it.

 

I personally love it but I don't think is a game everyone would like, it depends if it would be your genre. It's really chill, relaxing, creative and cute.
If you have a Nintendo Switch you should try it.

 

I have a switch and I like many types of games (from Battlefield to The Sims). I'll check it out, hopefully there's a demo to try.

I already saw people on twitter posting Nogi uniforms they made in the game.

i remember animal crossing pocket for android has already released in 2018.

 

Even switch itself is sold out because of self quarantine. The game is released unprecedently in the right time for casual gamers.
