Honestly I don't know what to think about the rumors... Somehow I'm looking forward to the show, but on the other side... I only hope the girls could grow from it and it's not that cruel.

 

If some members whose presence are actually not too beneficial to the group decide to graduate, wouldn’t it be a bit more cost-saving for DH?

 

That's not true. Homma Mai, Muto Orin and Taguchi Manaka were the first 16ki members whose names I remembered.

It's cruel as hell for me to say so but I kind of do hope for something incredibly drastic. The most interesting thing to happen in 48g recently is NMB's Nambattle. Dissolved teams? New mini-groups picked randomly and they have to make it work? An actual scoring system? THAT gives members a chance to show all of their skills and a concrete starting point. Really good stuff.
As it is AKB in particular is surviving on nostalgia. The days where everyone can name more than one member are over. Something needs to change.

 

And the announcement was... what exactly?

Oh, the concert.

I agree that it sounds like they won't fire members but it actually would support the idea that they'll disband the teams or shuffle them. Seeing as it's a specific group "second generation" members that are performing, and not teams.

I take back what I said. I also just found out that Team 8 is having two concerts on Eito day, so that throws out the idea of a Team 8 dissolution.

Yasuda Kana mentioned on her mobile mail that she (and I assume others) went to Tokyo Terebi today to talk about the show. She seemed high in spirits and said she was able to talk openly about what she would want to achieve.

I'm back at square one and have no idea what this show is gonna be about. Seems just like a talk show, but then why were members so upset after the first shooting? I guess we can only wait and see.

 

Maybe the host is Kurochan?
