    We interviewed Ms. Yoda, who is playing the leading role in a terrestrial TV drama series for the first time. She talked a lot about her role as the lead actress, the character of Riko that she plays, and her thoughts on acting.

    --This is your first starring role in a terrestrial TV drama series. How did you feel when you were asked to play the lead role?
    When I first heard about the opportunity, I was worried and felt pressure because I did not have a lot of acting experience and my main occupation is an idol, so I wondered if I would be okay. However, I thought that it would be different to enter the scene with a sense of insecurity when playing the character of Riko, and I wanted to have fun while performing.

    Once on set, I found that the atmosphere of the three parts of FUNFUN CREATE, the event company to which Riko belongs, was relaxed in a good way and matched the setting of the drama, making it more enjoyable than I had imagined. I was able to relax during the filming, and I am happy to be able to work with this group.

    --When it was announced that you would be playing the lead role, were there any messages from the members or graduates of Nogizaka46?
    The members do a lot of different jobs, so we don't talk about work very often, but Hazuki Mukai told me she would watch it.

    Not sure if this happened to you all but I noticed the subtitles get delayed by about 2 seconds after the opening song and about 4 after yoda's character sees a toy store.

    You are probably using a different raw file. The subber mentions a raw in Hikari Raiders'website: are u using that one? If not, try.
    Edit: yep, seen the episode i confirm that the subs are timed with Hikari's raw.

    Finally met Yoda after being turned away by staff the first time I had tickets to meet her and being too sick the second time. I was more nervous than usual because even though she’s not necessarily my oshimen, I think she’s a member who has a larger than life persona. Maybe it’s because I’m a variety guy and she’s always top tier when she gets time in NUC.

    Anyway, when I asked what her favorite English word or phrase was, she thought about it for a second and said “I love you” while giving the classic Yoda smile you can all probably imagine and then laughing. As time was expiring, I quickly mentioned how much I love “Zabunzazabun” which prompted her to make a shocked face and go “oooooooooo, ureshii~.“ So now I’ve had the opportunity to mention that to both of the members on that song.

    Super basic stuff, but a rather nice experience.
