If you were trying to make a point that a girl's individual social media followers/likes doesn't help the group itself then why would you use a girl's individual photobook sales as an example? PB sales don't help the actual group sales, not even Kojiharu's 100k+ selling photobook benefited AKB's sales.
The setlist and performance is just Thoroughly enjoyed the performance, the Saka Agari and Sobakasu no Kiss inclusion is just sweet. Setlist : Nemohamo Rumor (Naru center) Oogoe Diamond (Miion center) #Sukinanda (Hiichan center) LOVE TRIP (Yuiri center) Juuryoku Sympathy Saka Agari Sobakasu no Kiss Manatsu no Sounds Good (Yuiyui center) Full sizes :
Random remark: I'm going to remark on how simply genius it has been to have the Ouverture, the audience is hyped up before the girls even enter the stage.
Of further note, LOVE TRIP, Juuryoku Sympathy, Saka Agari, and Sobakasu no Kiss are all songs from Teams 4, A, K, & B's current stages. Also, Erii was clearly the center of Juuryoku Sympathy, which makes sense. Spoiler What makes less sense is she seems to have been the center of Saka Agari too, though that might have been Zukkii x Manaka with Erii just being way out of position at the start.
Is the purpose of this event to promote idol industry? If that's the case, they should do something similar to KCon, create a Youtube channel and upload HD performance videos of every groups 1 month after the event. Better also create a Tiktok account too.
It's not you know what. If you want to enjoy, buy your tickets and go on site. And welcome in a 12 years old event. That's all.
I think the powers that be in the JPop idol industry find it sustainable and profitable enough without uploading videos of performances for people to watch for free. JPop idols afterall, are under the Japanese music industry, the second biggest in the world, despite minimal effort to promote overseas
It's a festival .... just like so many rock festivals or dance events it's purpose is not to promote anything, it's there to generate revenue by selling tickets and merchandising etc. That it's a good venue for idol groups to promote themselves is coincidental, as is positive publicity for the idol industry, but the main thing they'll promote, if they promote anything, is next year's edition. Pinkpop or Rock Werchter, as far as I know, do not have a YouTube channel to promote themselves just my two ¢
It's been the age where even that fucking Johnny's promoted its group on America's Got Talent yet, someone still chanting this decades old sutra.
Being gross won't make you right. There are tons of music festivals around the world who don't broadcast on dust paying free viewing sites, yet it doesn't prevent the next year edition from happening. (while covid did). The Kpop formula isn't the best and only one working around. Even Kcon needs more the amount of tickets sold than the numbers of views, likes and comments. /end of off topic.
Why would they just use YouTube when instead they can stream on domestic platforms and then a month later restream on TV?
I just adore the inclusion of these. I mean, it seems like the management sometimes cares a bit about the theater stages, like putting some songs from the current team stages on festival's setlists. I just wish that this awareness of them that theater stages matter increased at the point of them releasing brand new original stages for the girls. It's extremely difficult for new stages to happen? Yes it is. But I can't help being at least a bit hopeful, giving that even SKE is having brand new theater stages. Also... Oh, dude. I really like it when Yuiyui stands at the zero position. She's an ace indeed.
I did say minimal effort right? Domestic sales of Japanese artists are more than sufficient for the music industry to remain profitable. Point is, they don't have to be that 'thirsty' to put the festival on Youtube or tiktok with an objective of promoting it to potential fans overseas.

Are those no-Youtube-upload music festivals meant to promote each artist in the festivals? Kpop is the best working idol business format at the moment. Kcon selling those tickets means the VOD does not undermine the ticket sale. It suggests ticket sale of TIF too won't significantly be affected despite the Youtube upload. Domestic platform? What free domestic platform is more popular both in Japan and aboard than Youtube? TV? I'm speechless. Minimal effort? Spending over a month to compete on World of Dance and appearing on America's Got Talent making statement they wanted to be global star was a minimal effort. Ok. LDH collaborating with HYBE Japan and, Yoshimoto collaborating with CJ ENM must be "minimal" efforts too. Oversea? As if only foreigners use tiktok and youtube. Cherprang visits NMB theater as the delayed prize for that Asia Festival Tiktok contest. Not sure why she made such decision. While Sayanee is her kamioshi, Sayanee has graduated. Meanwhile, her nioshi Naachan still is active at AKB48.
I see, thanks for the info! Maybe she has already met Naachan in Tokyo? According to Ishida Yuumi's tweet Cherprang just loves NMB so it's that simple haha. She even did lesson and sang Nagiichi together with them. ----- Speaking of performances, Team 8 Summer station performances were amazingly fun to watch! They had unit songs too for both noon and night performances. are those new costumes? (not the gingham check ones) ---- Also NemousuTV Episode for 17ki next week! if the video does not show watch the video here
Sonisphere is meant to promote up and coming humorous opera singers in general. Broadway is so proud that CATS wouldn't exist without it. You didn't know ? If it was true, every single major music festival would have adopted that buisness model, why don't they ? And yet, those TIF YT uploads which generate 0 yens for the artists / the festival organisation won't survive long. EDIT: And the obvious you are not realising (or don't want to ?) Those footages mean that there is a not free online broadcast, and catch up online viewing, which those unauthorised uploads are affecting. It doesn't hurt to get some informations before pulling out some absurd criticisms about something you know nothing about. https://official.idolfes.com/s/tif2022/page/broadcast?ima=3854
