5th Gen Thread

Under live, if I'm not mistaken, it was the first zein center Under Live, and KTK got that song. Senbatsu live would be difficult becauss each song already has a fixed center. If they try to change it, I believe fans would whine and complaint.
I'd loved to see 5ki also has similar theme for 5ki concert. Or, something like Under Christmas Live 2016, where each member pulled a lottery for the song they are centering. I remember Junna got Hashire Bicycle.

Obviously I feel bad for Iroha, but it's interesting how wotas have forgiven Aruno but not Hina. Unless Hina isn't selling out for other reasons.

Man, Iroha deserves better. She's such a precious girl, I hope her sales will improve a lot in the future!

 

It will be interesting how the results would be for the next single. This is the first time all 11 members were included. Since the last single Inoue and Sugawara are the clear frontrunners followed by Miku and Mao. Let's see if Teresa, Sakura, and Nao can sustain this kind of result now that it's expected several top members will be exempted next single. Ogawa seems to have the same pattern. Come on Aya!!!

Now can Aruno do better than this? I think she can and she will. Idk by how much though. Unfortunately, I feel like Iroha doesn't click well with fans which for me is sad. She's such a sweet girl. I think it's the same with Okamoto. Well, I'm already expecting Sebatsu for Nagi and Satsuki. Especially Nagi. Man, I'll be very shocked if she doesn't make not only Senbatsu but fukujin next single. She's obviously a future center - very soon.

 

Iroha, sweet Iroha, ganbatte kudasai... Just the image of a sweet and fragile 16-year old school girl with her guitar on her trio at Star Tanjou made me ponder what a heartbreaker she would have been during a school excursion, by the seaside, around a campfire, playing her guitar and singing along with her friends... Oh, youth...! Iroha, precious little jewel!

 

It's still too early to say who will hold the popularity in 5ki, there can still be plenty of movement. The top and middle tier is so competitive, which is good. Personally I think Hina can slowly rise. So far I have warmed up to her by watching Star Tanjou, she has a kinda cute airheaded chara which is different than the rest.
Unfortunately I still can't warm up to Aruno, even though I wish I can like all the 5ki, my favorite gen.

 

A lot can change as they are still new, only their 2nd single.

Aruno for better and worse has an "it" factor that makes her stand out just by existing. I don't think she's been forgiven by wotas overall but she has and will have dedicated diehard fans. Conversely I think that's what's up with Hina and Iroha, they don't stand out easily but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with them. They can grow slowly and find an strength that makes them gain fans down the road.

I am very happy with Teresa and Nao's results though. I thought they would have around Aya's numbers.

Nagi is is just a prodigy who needs to be pushed soon lol nobody will complain about that.

 

Nagi and Satsuki are the clear locked in future senbatsu at this point.

Can't read too much into the next 5 in terms of how they will eventually stratify as they all sold out on the same round.

Aya and Iroha are the likely future undergirls at this point, although there's a history of the youngest member of a gen having a delayed surge in popularity which is good for Aya

The scandal-afflicted Aruno and Hina are the wildcards as we don't know how much the scandals will suppress their populairty long term

 

They were charming on MUSIC BLOOD. I really enjoyed their Kikkake performance.
