It's difficult to compare the last single with this one because of the different sales rules in the second rounds. With 'Moto Kare desu', in the second round it was possible to apply for a maximum of 3 tickets each for 10 slots, i.e. an overall maximum of 30 tickets. (source) With the new single, the rule for the second round was the same as the first, i.e. a maximum of 2 tickets each for 5 slots (10 tickets max).

So to summarize, the maximum number of tickets an individual could have bought in the first two rounds of the previous single was 40 (10+30). For this single it's 20 (10+10).

 

These are the correct numbers, yes. I suspect @bonjourmarlene's source only listed the new sold out slots for Round 2, as adding her numbers for Round 1 & 2 gives us the correct totals.

Yeah, that is what happened, I listed only the additional slots instead of all sold out slots. My bad. It's fixed now.

 

Well, what about now?

 

Still difficult to compare. For the third round of 'Moto Kare desu', although the maximum per application was 30 (3 x 10) you could make multiple applications. For the third round of 'Hisashiburi no Lipgloss', only one application of 30 (3 x 10) was allowed (although multiple applications are allowed in the current 4th round).

 

I’ve been away from akb for a little bit because of real life stuff, but I’m so happy to return and see a new single is coming out! I really hope this means we’ll get more than one single per year. Based on the outfit, it looks like a cute/fresh song! I’m happy to support akb with whatever music style they go with, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Iiwake Maybe-esque songs, so I wouldn’t be mad if that was the style they went with

Also, I am keeping in mind what @David61 is saying that the comparison is off because the limitations are stricter for this single. I'm just putting them in for the sake of it - please also do keep it in mind when looking at it

The closest we can compare the 3rd round of Hisarippu is to Motokare's 2nd round due to tix/application limit as @David61 said -- and even then the comparison is a little flawed considering Hisarippu allows for a max. of 50 tix by the 3rd round while Motokare only allows a max. of 40 tix by the 2nd round. But if we take those caveats into account and still look at Hisarippu 3rd round vs Motokare's 2nd round side by side, just in terms of which members managed to sold out slots:

• Both Hisarippu 3rd and Motokare 2nd see these same 6 girls already selling out slots: Naachan, Hiichan, Berin, Yukirin, Yuiyui, Yuiri
• Mion managed to sell 1 slot (and almost sold out 2 slots) by Motokare 2nd, but not by Hisarippu 3rd
• Mogi and Naru sold out 1 and 4 slots respectively by Hisarippu 3rd, while during Motokare they only managed to sell out slots after the unlimited applications period (Motokare 3rd round onwards)

I'm really happy for Mogi tbh! She went from a total of 1 sold out slot for Nemohamo to 11(!!) for Motokare after all. Hoping this trend continues, seeing YuuNaaMogiOn thriving in senbatsu is giving me a such a huge boost of serotonin lol

From Hisarippu on, she'll be a regular senbatsu. I think all of us know. I mean, besides the super senbatsu girls, she's the only one who had sold out a slot. It's crazy to see how popular she got

 

I hope management won't play cat and mouse with her like they do with Tomu, another team K member

In other news to absolutely no one's surprise, Yuiri sold out her last slot.

 

Yep, I don't track resales since I was struggling to hunt down Nemohamo's especially lol. Also didn't include 6th round since it's typically after the payment period and numbers just skydive at that point.

Updated the Hanashikai Archive sheet for the 4th round.

• Senbatsu members that have not sold out slots yet: Mahopyon, Miu, Aichan
• Yuiri, Naachan, and Yuiyui have sold out all their slots by Hisarippu 4th (they sold out theirs by the 3rd round for both Nemohamo and Motokare -- our Top 3 are still as consistent as ever)
• Berin, Naru, Mogi, and Mion sold out considerably more slots for Hisarippu 4th vs Motokare 3rd (the first round for unlimited applications):
  • Berin: 49 slots (Hisarippu 4th) > 30 slots (Motokare 3rd)
  • Naru: 39 slots (Hisarippu 4th) > 33 slots (Motokare 3rd)
