I know that, but they could've called them something else, like Vinyl Senbatsu and Digital Senbatsu.

    ....................................................................................................................................................................................................

Since there's more than 50 images I'm going to post the solo shots in their threads.

I understand what you're saying. But I'm not saying that every single push is directly linked to one's sales. I'd say that Mahopyon situation is only because they have big hopes for Maho and want her to be a core member (or something close to it) in not so long. It's far from being proportional to sales or something like that. As we were saying, if the pushes were directly related to the sales, Saho and Manaka would be selected and mid-row/almost front-liners.

Mahopyon's push is a combination of a bunch of factors: She's the D3 ace, indeniably the most popular among them + she does well on SNS (which is something whether some like it or not, lately's being a determinant criteria push-wise), being the 3rd new gen girl with the highest numbers (only behind Zukky and Erii) + this kinda relates with the previous factor but she's perfect to the young, 'dollish', SNS-like image that Erii has and it seems that the group's been trying to invest + in Moto Kare Desu she did well in sales, much better than all the D3 girls and also the 3rd highest among new gen girls. Only now she'd experienced a big drop on sales + she's not that young but also not old so this is the time to invest on her otherwise it'll be late.

You see? It's a combination of factors, not only depending on one or the other. But my comment "Lately my hope for her sales to increase is to wait for them putting her as the center of an A-side, like it happened to Erii." was really innocent, just a sentence from a wishful Maho oshi who wants his oshimen to sell higher and shine more and more. Didn't think I'd have to write this much because of that sentence :^^;:
    ....................................................................................................................................................................................................
Changing the subject a bit, look at how pretty are the dollish-ace duo. Their image really fit with each other. I'm loving this era.

    Some trivias about the MV:
As soon as Erii learned she was going to be center, she immediatly knew it wasn't going to be dance oriented
It has been shot in Okinawa, in various places such as American village. The BBQ scenes were filmed at Sunset ressort Kanutan.
The dance scene were shot at Hotel Kagami beach. (logic since they dance on a mirror)
Bye they end, the girls are attending a fireworks. They are indeed counting 60 shoots. and here is a link to AKB48's60th single.
Still according to Erii, during the dance filming, the weather sudenly turned bad and there was quite some wind. But the director kept the footage. The weather influence isn't noticeable in the final movie.
Erii wants a maximum of person to watch the MV and see how good AKB48 is currently, so she can become a center that everyone can recognise.

There will be a full version on the DVD, and there will be a horizontal version soon on Youtube.

I really like the MV, it's been very long since AKB48 didn't provide such a full of freshness / youth type of movie.
It's very cute, very shiny. AKB48 does no mistake here.

The duos picked are really cute pair ups! I'm interested to see if they filmed any different footage for the regular MV (such as, I noticed the dance stage is actually quite long and I'm curious if they'll switch to the long edge as the front for the regular MV). Definitely agreeing with everyone how good it is to see a bright and fun MV.

Wow!!! Now THIS is what an AKB PV should be!

Loooove it! Makes me think of #sukinanda and Sustainable! A few of the PVs in the last 5 years that I think still gave the classic AKB feels.

The SNS vertical version is also a good idea to let everyone have some nice close-ups.

I wasn't feeling the song that much earlier, but now, I love it, thanks to the PV.

So now, my only gripe is Muto's exclusion from senbatsu. Like what the hell!?!?! Would have loved to see her here. And this is the 2nd Okinawa PV she could have been in :(

The MV is so cute! It’s so nice to see something fun and colorful from akb again. I still wish the single had been released a few months ago since it’s such a summery song, but I’m still happy with it overall!

I'm so happy to see Mogi tbh. I'm not even really a fan of hers, but since all her friends are senbatsu members I always felt a little bad for her, but so glad management hasn't forgotten her. She's also quite funny too.

The center is absolutely adorable lol. I forgot her name (I think its Erii, but could be wrong). The song is great. A little late for a summer song though, but that's ok I guess. I love the energy in this song though. Definitely reminds me of a really great concert song.

Huh they did the dance shot on cloudy thunderstorm setting? The MV looks so bright wouldn't have guessed.
Second confirmation from a clip of Rinrin's showroom:

if the video does not show watch the video here
Lots of thunder and lightning while dancing, also if cancelled, they wouldn't have any more time to re-shoot the dance scene since some members had been scheduled to go back.
The staffs were nervous it wouldn't work, thankfully it did!

Side note, I like the platform they're dancing on in the MV, so shiny and just feels nice too look at!

As expected of AKB, they can cover the "setsunai" (melancholy? bittersweet?) feeling of the song with their sparkling, happy visuals. I always like the gap [hehe]

Comparison with 59th Single (2nd Sales 4th Round)
Total: 523/2,414 [21.67% of all tickets sold out] +4.54%

I compared with 4th Round as I have no stats available for 5th Round.

*Note 1: The percentage of tickets sold is based solely on sold-out slots. The actual number is probably higher but inaccessible to the public.
*Note 2: Team 8 are listed as part of their kennin teams because this is how they are listed on the AKB48 website.

I saw a discussion that American songs these days had less verses so the song turned shorter. This was the influence of the streaming/SNS. Short song can be streamed more times and is more SNS friendly.

The basic-est pop song structure has been
    Intro - verse - prechorus - chorus - verse - prechorus - chorus - bridge - chorus - outro
To make it short, the bridge and the 3rd chorus often are cut. This makes a more common structure of American songs these days go
    Intro - verse - prechorus - chorus - verse - prechous - chorus - outro
(In comparison, J-pop song may be cut short for TV show in a different way, the second verse, prechorus and chorus are cut thus, the TV show song structure may go
    Intro - verse - prechorus - chorus - bridge - chorus - outro)

Contrary, this new AKB48's song, seemingly meant to be SNS friendly, has changed for the longer with more verses.

What's your thought on the structure/length of this song?

For me, even though this single is meant to go well in SNS with the SNS-ver. PV and the SNS-doll center, the song itself is not so SNS-like imo, even structure-wise like you said. Moto Kare Desu seems actually more SNS friendly than Hisarippu, specially because of the NANI NANI DAKARA DAKARA DAKARA spred in the song and the U-U-U parts, which I can't tell exactly what it is structure-wise. Hook maybe? I don't know, but Hisarippu is an orthodox one even in the structure, which is the same from other traditional idol songs, even though is a SNS friendly one.

Maybe after all the producers don't bother changing the structure of the songs just to make them more appealing to SNS and their users, and I honestly prefer it like that :^^;: God forbid that AKB releases an 3 minute or less A-side.

Myao-senpai reactions to the MV : "Kawaii", "AKB-like", "sugoi" "Ponyshu?"

if the video does not show watch the video here

Interesting point she said is that she feels time has changed because AKB48 used to always use heels on their MV costumes, and now they use sneakers/flat-bottom shoes.
I checked, it has been the case since Sustainable in 2019. Before that they indeed used heels a lot.

seems so, they are still trending #19 in japan at the moment I see this.

I wonder if they'll still release the normal version?
