Yesterday Tetsuya tweeted on his birthday that he was in Paris .... and I thought hmm... and where's Miichan?

The answer, with him, I think this is their (probably short) honeymoon, she wanted to tell the fanclub, but the wifi was bad at the airport prior to departure

well, it turns out Testuya must have posted that at their flights stopover, 'cause

That's not Paris ....
They're in Barcelona
(and it is really a Japanese thing to respect the privacy of the people next to you in your holiday snap)


I lolled when I saw the censored version (after I saw the uncensored one ...)

 

Pffff... as I kinda expected some minor uproar has erupted around Miichan spilling the beans on Tetsuya's age
The censored picture she showed says "I'm very sorry" .....

well, uproar ... it's nice clickbait for sure for some sites



anyway ... Tetsuya posted the following pics himself .... so, I suspect Miichan was kinda poking fun at him with her censored pic (as that's something I personally would expect of her)

They are doing Europe like Americans

I'm guessing they don't have all that much time for a vacation though


edit: well, Miichan just posted "The journey continues just a little longer...✈️" (with an airplane icon, not sure is that will show up)

so now the whole fanclub is wondering .... where???

Pretty sure it won't be Amsterdam ... I'm guessing Paris, as that's most likely the hub they'll travel home from.
(although ... Amsterdam is a hub as well)

I must admit that the one time I was in Barcelona I visited exactly the same sites Miichan and Tetsua did.
Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell and the Ramblas, I should add though I was there mainly for the world championships swimming as my niece participated in the synchronised swimming event.

Venice ... the same ... although then as well, we were only there on our way to Greece (and another synchronised swimming competition )


I just saw a part of a showroom by Oonishi .... who was totally fangirling over the interaction between Miichan and Tetsua, bonus points to Oonishi

I think for Tetsuya and Miichan 1 + 1 > 2 applies, the popularity of the one reinforces the popularity of the other.

Wella, as I expected, Tetsuya and Miichan are closing off their honeymoon in Paris.
Tetsuya posted an instagram story of them on that bridge with all the locks near the Eiffel tower, of course


fun fact, Japan has allegedly a hotline for Japanese who are deeply disappointed by their Paris experience, as Paris has an image in Japan as the most awesome romantic town in the whole universe.
As with all these things ... reality begs to differ.

I'm pretty sure Miichan and Tetsuya will not need that number ....

(couples wearing the same clothes is seen as really the most plebeian thing you can do here in the Netherlands, good thing they reversed the colours .. or I might have gotten a bit nauseous )

Here the movie is 'The Intern' with Robert de Niro and Anne Hathaway, which isn't bad as well
