I dunno if @JpmusicRocks is continuing the 5ki intro translations, so here's a summary of last week's episode with Kaki:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Kubo went to a baseball game last weekend with her mom and older sister. She paid for the tickets and offered to buy all the baseball merchandise they wanted. Then Kubo’s mom accidentally spilled beer all over Kubo and the merchandise. Kubo’s mom became gloomy; Kubo’s sister got angry and said, “Mom, you always do stuff like this!”
-Kaki always admired others’ photobooks, but when the staff told her she’d be making one, she mostly felt apprehensive.
-Kaki’s photobook, Massara (“Brand New”), was shot in Tokyo and Miyakojima. She wanted to go to the ocean and an island, so the staff suggested Miyakojima. It gave her the chance to swim, since she normally wouldn’t decide to go swimming herself.
-Kaki and Kubo commiserate with each other about the pressures of being talked to by clothing store employees, and of not being dressed well enough to dare enter fancy clothing shops.
    -Kaki says she doesn’t cook.
-Kaki agrees with Kubo that you don’t need to clean your home unless a guest is coming over.
-Kaki has recently been listening every day to the Spy x Family opening, Official Hige Dandism’s Mixed Nuts.

    5ki corner starts at 47:48
-Kaki didn’t tell her friends she auditioned for Sakamichi, so they first found out when she appeared in audition Showrooms.
What kind of kid was Tomisato?
-Tomisato was in badminton club, but it was painful because they kept just running laps around the school for training. As a child, she was noisy and always in high spirits, going to the pool every day, crying for sweets at the supermarket, and on rainy days going to the park and sliding around wetly.
How did Iroha start liking Nogi?
-Iroha heard “Ima Hanashitai Dare ka ga Iru” in 5th grade. Iroha became a fan of Hinako-san, who’s cool, cute, and spreads cheer, and Iroha respects Kubo-san, who draws people’s eyes with her performances or even when she’s just walking.
-Kubo grins. Kaki agrees with Iroha. At a recent Birthday Live rehearsal, during a lull in practice when everyone was tired, Kaki couldn’t hold it in and trotted over to Kubo—who was in the rain and wearing no makeup—and whispered to Kubo that she looked good today.
    Tomisato’s memories of the audition
-Tomisato’s dad encouraged her to audition. She took each stage of the audition as it came and expected to get dropped, so she didn’t prepare her outfits or her 1-minute speech. After she passed, she called her parents and her dad was happiest of all.
-Kaki went and bought an outfit for her audition, she says she didn’t have anything proper to wear. Kubo wore a scruffy T-shirt and sneakers.
-Kaki and Kubo didn’t really talk to other girls at auditions; Kaki was too nervous. Kubo says quite a few 5ki connected with each other at auditions though.
What left an impact on Tomisato after joining Nogi?
-10th Birthday Live, it’s the 1st time 5ki nervously performed with senpai and 1st time Tomisato saw such an incredible crowd.
    What does Iroha like?
-Guitar; she plays at home. Iroha played J-pop as guitarist and vocalist in her middle school’s light music club.
What does Iroha want to do with Kubo?
-Iroha’s parents are from Sendai. Her cousin was coincidentally Kubo’s senpai in middle school. Iroha wants to visit Kubo’s family home and eat beef tongue with her.

    Last week’s highlights:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Kubo has recently been attracting baseball fans to her meet and greets because she talks about baseball on ANN. She’s been doing a regular segment where she reports on baseball affairs as her alter ego, “Washio-chan.” This week, Kubo was also inducted into “Team Show Up,” Nippon Broadcasting’s official club for radio host baseball fans.

5ki corner with Ioki and Aya starts at 1:07:03
-Kubo’s impression of both members is they’re very calm.
How did Ioki start liking Nogi?
-Ioki watched the Japan Record Awards with her family every year. Her impression of idols was that they’re cute, but Nogi was cool and beautiful performing Influencer (the 2017 JRA winner).
    Ioki’s memories of the audition
-Ioki’s older brother was a Nogi fan and told her about the 5ki audition. She wasn’t doing clubs or cram school that summer, so she was free and decided to take on the challenge. At the final announcement, she relaxed and let go of her tension because all the other finalists were very cute so she didn’t expect to pass. When she passed, she couldn’t believe it.
-Kubo says that, since the 4th gen, there have been relatively many members, such as Seira, whose older brothers were already Nogi fans.
    Aya’s memories of the audition
-Aya sang Sing Out!, Sabita Compass, and Route 246 for her 3 song tests over the course of the audition. She took the initiative to add dance to each song too. At the final announcement, members were called by candidate number. Aya was preceded by Satsuki who was preceded by Aruno.
    What does Aya like?
-Aya has always had wide but shallow interests in many things, such as baseball or piano.
-Kubo wants to bring Aya home with her to Miyagi Prefecture and seduce Aya into becoming a Rakuten Eagles baseball fan.
    Ioki’s impression of Kubo?
-On the 2nd day of the 10th Birthday Live, Ioki was visibly very nervous backstage because she had a speaking part. Kubo reassured her, helped her with what to say, and afterwards patted her on the shoulder, so Ioki admires Kubo and calls her a goddess.
What does Aya want to do with Kubo?
-Aya likes Kubo’s singing and wants to practice singing together.
-Kubo expresses humorous concern that Aya listed Kubo among her admired senpai in the N46 Mode interview, but then listed all the same senpai minus Kubo when asked who she admired on her blog.

I don’t know if any other 5ki have mentioned their audition songs.
This page has Twitter links to the audition songs for most 1st to 3rd gen:
    https://makocyan.com/kasyoukyoku2
This page lists some 4th gen audition songs halfway down (and it's a massive unofficial guide to auditioning for Nogi):
    https://pekupupu.org/beginner-5kiaudition/

According to those links, Nogi songs sung at past auditions have been:
    Kotoko: Sekkachi na Katatsumuri
    Renka: Kuukikan
    Momoko: Kikkake
    Kubo: Tsuribori; Romance no Start
    Tamami: Secret Graffiti
    Reno: Nandome no Aozora ka
    Hazuki: Romantic Ikayaki
    Christie: Kikkake
    Yuna: Nandome no Aozora ka
Mio: Mou Sukoshi no Yume; Umareta Mama de

Mizuki is the first 3rd gen guest:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Kubo doesn’t know how hot temperatures are. She says she considers short-sleeve weather to be 40°C (104°F). Tokyo never even reaches 40°C.
-Mizuki (22) takes a casual tone and introduces herself as 17 years old.
-When asked if she’s been listening to Kubo’s ANN, Mizuki says the commercial breaks during the Aki-P episode looked awkward. (The breaks were mostly silent, with Kubo reading Aki-P’s book and Aki-P looking at his phone.)
-This week’s listener mail topic is unlucky (tsuiteinai) incidents, a wordplay on Mizuki’s name containing the word tsuki which can also mean “lucky.” After each listener mail, a recording of Mizuki exclaiming “Tsukiii!” is played to impart luck, for example at 33:14.
-This year’s Nogi summer tour will visit Hokkaido for the first time in 9 years. Mizuki’s never been to Hokkaido; Kubo visited with family in kindergarten. They want to eat crab.

5ki corner with Miku, Satsuki, and Kawasaki Sakura starts at 45:52
-Mizuki liked idol groups since elementary school. She auditioned for Nogi with the thought that she’d go to college and give up on showbiz if she didn’t get in. Her memory of the audition is of Christie eating a humongous bread bun while possessing the smallest face Mizuki had ever seen.
-Kubo remembers sitting next to Reno and Reno’s friend, who kept talking noisily to each other even though everyone else at the audition venue was quiet. Kubo forgot to bring a meal and was hungry, so Reno offered her bread.
-Mizuki says she’s too shy to initiate talk with kouhai, but 5ki actively talk to her so she responds as best she can.
How did Kawasaki start liking Nogi?
-Kawasaki watched The Anthem of the Heart (2015) and discovered Nogi through its theme song, Ima Hanashitai Dareka ga Iru. Later, a friend asked her if she knew about Endou Sakura, which is how she discovered how cute Endou is. Kawasaki suddenly decided to audition after she read on Line News that the 5ki audition deadline had been extended for one day.
-Mizuki and Kubo double-centered Ima Hanashitai Dareka ga Iru at the 10th Birthday Live. When Mizuki learned they’d be taking over Shiraishi and Nishino’s parts, she watched the rehearsal video of Kubo dancing and was moved to tears.
    Satsuki’s impression of Nogi members?
-Mizuki’s eyes are too big, Satsuki can’t concentrate on anything else. Kubo is gentle and so pale she blends into the wall.
-Kubo says "blends into the wall" is still better than Mizuki's first impression of Kubo—Mizuki said she thought snow had piled up in the dressing room.
How has Miku changed since entering Nogi?
-Miku is frantically growing every day, trying to learn how to do the basics properly. In particular, aisatsu (greetings and other standard phrases) is a very important norm with Nogi staff and members. Out of habit, Miku accidentally said “Thank you for your hard work” to her schoolteacher.
-The 3ki were scolded over and over by Ikoma and other senpai about aisatsu. Mizuki says the 3ki once gathered after an FNS Music Festival, at either Ume or Christie’s place, to discuss how to handle aisatsu and speaking as a group. Kubo says the 3ki were reserved, so it was either she or Ume doing the organizing, but Mizuki unexpectedly spoke up and identified critical points, which was a big help. Mizuki and Kubo say 3ki still sometimes give aisatsu like a team of uncouth baseball players (e.g. casually garbling ohayou gozaimasu into hayo zai-asu).
    What is Kawasaki’s special skill?
-Kawasaki did figure skating for ~10 yrs, she began because she admired young skaters at the ice rink as well as Olympic figure skater Asada Mao. She’s bad at expressing herself, but she can express herself as she likes when skating to a song.
    Miku talks about radio
-Miku was big into radio in elementary school, she'd sleep early in the evening and wake up to listen to ANN at 1 a.m. She was fascinated by how voice and language alone could be so interesting.
-Mizuki thinks Miku has quick mental reflexes and is suited for radio. Kubo says Miku is reserved toward senpai but probably shows more interesting sides of herself around 5ki.
What does Satsuki want to do with Kubo?
-Satsuki doesn’t know the rules of baseball but wants to watch games with Kubo so she can learn and they can get along.
-Kubo says Aya is probably already a Chiba Lotte Marines fan, but there’s still time to convert Satsuki to the Rakuten Eagles. Kubo suggests forming a Nogi sports club; Mizuki says “I’ll pass.”

What is this, a crossover episode? Radio star Rena is finally the guest on ANN:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Rena’s appearing on 10 Nogi radio shows before graduation; ANN is the 8th.
-Nogi recently performed on the Music Day show at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, right next door to the Zozo Marine Stadium where the Rakuten Eagles were playing the Chiba Lotte Marines. Kubo and Yuna noticed each other following the game on their phones backstage, so they shared earphones and watched it together despite supporting opposite teams.
-Rena looks forward to graduating to new experiences.
-Rena seriously considered graduating twice before, once when she was still a trainee (kenkyuusei) after 2 years and doubted the value of her presence in the group, and once when she was a college student and her peers started wearing suits and finding jobs.
-Rena admires ANN. Kubo asks how Rena honestly felt when she heard that radio newbie Kubo would host Nogi’s ANN. Rena says it was interesting; she had seen a report about how radio hosts now start out younger and grow more experienced alongside the listeners. Rena herself started out as an unknown in radio and felt ashamed when she was lectured at post-show meetings about what she needed to improve, such as letting guests talk more.
-Rena’s lost count of how many radio programs she’s listened to, though she mentions a few such as Mukai no Shaberikata, Towazugatari no Kanda Hakuzan, Around Carp X, and Sakuma Nobuyuki’s ANN. She started listening in elementary school because the singer Yui guested on radio programs, but she got seriously into radio when she was in high school preparing for college entrance exams.
-Rena says it’s fine for Kubo to not listen to radio. Rena likes Kubo’s bizarre baseball passion and thinks it’s a pity she didn’t get to see Kubo’s abnormal side earlier.
-Kubo asks what Rena pays attention to in radio studios. Rena says the cough switch (a mechanical box with a switch to turn the mic off so the host can “cough” or talk to studio staff). Some are detachable, some are embedded in the table. Rena prefers the ANN cough switch that uses a big lever to turn the mic on/off. The one at Rena’s Dareka ni Hanashitakatta Koto show is hard to press when your skin is cold in the winter.
-When Kubo was little, she liked standing out and getting attention. Rena was the opposite; she didn’t trust people and preferred to do her own thing instead of talking in front of people.
-Rena says she didn’t live the fun college life people might imagine. She didn’t join clubs so she didn’t have much contact with others, she’d just go to class and then go to work or go home. Her most fun college memories were in class. Kubo asks if Rena likes learning. Rena says she enjoys listening to people who are so interested in a subject that they’d want to teach others about it.
-Kubo says Rena is mysterious, she doesn’t exhibit many age-appropriate behaviors or get swept up by members’ cheering and excitement. Manatsu has also said that Rena doesn’t show her “humanness” to members much. Rena says it isn't deliberate. When Kubo has an interest such as baseball, she wants to share it with others, but Rena doesn’t tell other members what she does on her days off because she doesn’t think they’d find it interesting. Kubo asks point-blank what Rena does on her days off, and Rena says listen to the radio all day.
-Rena says she actually meets a lot with friends from school. One friend was the only other freshman in Rena’s difficult first college class, who also happened to be the daughter of TBS radio announcer Horii Mika. Another friend was a girl Rena initiated conversation with when they were both eating alone in the cafeteria at college orientation.
-Rena plays a song that perhaps best portrays her current feelings, Nogizaka46’s Sabita Compass.
-Rena sacrifices sleep to listen to the radio. Today she slept at 5 am and woke at 10 am.

Hinachima shines one last time on ANN:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-When Kubo was younger, she decorated the entrance of her home for Halloween and held a Halloween party with her parents, but she didn’t have any friends to celebrate with.
-Kubo’s image of Higuchi is of a top-class diligent person who doesn’t waste time even on her days off. Kubo tries to find common ground in the recurring “slovenly lifestyle” listener mail segment, but Higuchi doesn’t share most of Kubo’s degenerate habits, such as eating and drinking in bed, not opening the curtains, leaving stuff in cardboard boxes around the house, etc. When Kubo asks why Higuchi is so proper despite living alone, Higuchi replies she’ll someday raise her own family, so she wants to get used to doing household chores like they’re nothing, rather than seeing them as bothersome or unnecessary, so she can become a mom who can do everything. Higuchi has always said the type of guy she likes is someone who values time.
-Higuchi started shifting her sleep schedule a week ago to prepare for ANN.
-Higuchi says graduation is lonely, but even though it feels like there’ll be a hole in her heart for a while, it’s something she had to do and she doesn’t feel regret or reluctance.
-Higuchi joined Nogi because her dance school instructor told her about the audition and suggested she try it. She didn’t know much about idols and didn’t particularly want to be one, but after she passed the first step of the audition, her competitive spirit came out and she wanted to pass. In kindergarten, she wrote that she wanted to become a singer, so it appears she’s always wanted to be in showbiz.
-Higuchi says the 2nd gen entered Nogi quickly, so the 1ki had resistance to accepting kouhai and everyone felt uneasy. But they were ready for kouhai by the 3rd gen, and could see the 3ki leading Nogi into the future. After seeing the 3ki earnestly practicing and not being complacent, the senpai discussed how important it is to take photos to look back on.
-Higuchi and Kubo discuss their experiences on the Love It! TV show, such as how you’re not supposed to answer the comedic quizzes correctly, and Hinatazaka’s Matsuda Konoka ended up crying when she answered correctly right away.
-Higuchi plays a song whose lyrics saved her during her time in Unders, Nogizaka46’s Boku Dake no Hikari.
-Higuchi hasn’t overslept in 11 years, but she once woke up at the time she planned to leave the house, so she rushed and ended up arriving at work before anyone else. She has work tomorrow at 7 a.m. and will barely sleep, but she says she’ll be fine. She does take naps, and always gets sleepy at 2 p.m. even during Nogi rehearsals.
-Higuchi plays the Nogizaka46 song that made the deepest impression on her, Yasashisa to wa.
-Higuchi and Kubo plan what they'd do on a day off. Higuchi would sleep 7 hours and wake at 11 a.m. (Kubo would wake at 12 p.m.) and eat her routine breakfast of aojiru, oat milk, protein powder, almonds, walnuts, prunes, and yogurt. Then she’d do chores and at 1 p.m. go shopping alone in a fashionable area like Omotesando or go to a cafe to plan future tasks and fill out Nogi surveys (Kubo would see a movie and go shopping). She’d return home at sunset and prepare a hot pot or a new recipe she learned online (Kubo has little interest in food and sometimes skips meals without thinking about it), bathe at 6 p.m. (Kubo would bathe at 11:30 p.m.), and then think about work-related stuff. At 9 p.m., she’d watch a movie in bed and then go to sleep while listening to relaxing music (Kubo’s often on her phone until 1 a.m. and then dozes off in the middle of doing something. Higuchi: “That’s scary!”).
-Higuchi plays a song to wake up to in the morning, Nogizaka46’s Watashi Okiru.
-Higuchi was able to attend school events while in Nogi, but it was hard to balance and she can’t remember much. It was the least she ever slept in her life, and her test scores dropped a lot, so she had to take supplementary lessons.
-Higuchi plays a reassuring song, Nogizaka46’s Dare yori Soba ni Itai.

Sugai Yuuka, graduating captain of Sakurazaka46, is this week’s guest:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-The last time Kubo and Sugai were together was in the Zambi stage play 4 years ago. Kubo starts the ANN episode addressing Sugai as “Sugai-san,” but eventually follows her wishes and calls her “Yukkaa” at the end of the episode.
-Kubo asks if Sugai has any Nogi acquaintances. Sugai had a hot pot party with Shinuchi, Umezawa, and Habu Mizuho at Shinuchi’s home 4 or 5 years ago. Sugai also recently guested on Yamazaki Rena’s radio show and they ate together.
-Sugai started considering graduation 2 years ago when Keyakizaka became Sakurazaka. A year ago, she decided to graduate.
-Sugai auditioned for Keyaki in her 2nd year of college because she was job hunting and admired idols.
-Sugai was surprised when she was announced as group captain. She was glad to receive the role, but says she’s not that type of person. At 34:55, she says the hardest part of being captain was when she was unable to convey the group’s thoughts or when news came out and she had to speak during live broadcasts or concerts. She was always nervous about selecting the right words to explain things or to make everyone happier, and felt the responsibility that what she said would become the collective voice of the group. There were occasions where she had to say things that didn’t reflect her true feelings or that she wasn’t confident in, and she has strong memories of just telling lies and whitewashing things.
-Kubo says Sugai is kind and asks if she’s shown anger to other members before. Sugai says she hasn’t exposed those emotions, but it's because she can't say such things that she purposely creates opportunities for the group to talk when something needs to be said. Everyone’s steady and doing their best now, but at first it was lonely and difficult. Instead of expressing anger, Sugai looks members in the eye and talks directly to them, but she doesn’t know if that’s necessarily the right way. There were girls who didn’t want to smile if it meant lying about their own feelings; Sugai valued everyone’s individuality and actually felt supported by the group not all being aligned the same, so she didn’t want to force members to do things.
-Sugai started riding horses weekly in Tokyo’s Sangubashi neighborhood after a classmate invited her in elementary school. She later joined a horse riding club near her family’s vacation home in Karuizawa and participated in equestrian competitions.
-Sugai started addressing her parents with the honorific -sama in order to pass a test to get into a kindergarten, and then it became a habit.
-Sugai plays the lead single of Sakurazaka46’s 1st album, Masatsukeisu.
-Sakurazaka members have been buying matching pairs of fluffy slippers to wear together when relaxing during arduous concert tours.
-Kubo says the Nogi 3ki have been playing the party game Word Wolf whenever they have free time together, for 6 years.
-Sugai says Koike Minami spills drinks, asks for help to open things, and asks others to eat her tomatoes. Kubo says Satou Kaede spills not only drinks, but full meals too.
-Kubo plays a song she listened to every day when going to stage rehearsals, Keyakizaka46’s Futari Saison.
-Right before entering Keyaki, Sugai sold beer at baseball games for 2 months in Tokyo Dome, which is also where she’ll hold her graduation concert next week. She hadn’t watched baseball before then, but she liked the baseball anime MAJOR. Drink vendors competed to get faster sales times, and vendors who did well would graduate from selling soft drinks to selling alcohol. The job built her leg muscles and she had to pay attention to who was more receptive to buying drinks. She was previously also a waitress at a family restaurant and an Italian restaurant.
-Sugai plays a Sakurazaka46 song popular with its members, Jouken Hansha de Naketekuru.
-Sugai sometimes eats snacks in bed, though not full meals like Kubo. In middle school, Sugai ate food in her older sister’s bed to avoid dirtying her own bed, but she left evidence and was discovered.
-Sugai plays a song that made her admire Nogizaka46 when she saw the music video, Seifuku no Mannequin.

    Maaya’s last laugh on ANN:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Kubo has been enjoying Maaya’s quirky commentary as they watch the World Cup. Kubo mentions how Riria did an impression of Kubo talking loudly about baseball (Koujichuu #387), but Maaya says she was busy preparing her own impressions so she has almost no idea what happened in that episode.
-Maaya is usually asleep before ANN broadcast time (1 a.m.).
-Maaya has already performed her last Live, so the sensation of graduating is very real to her even though she’s not leaving until Dec. 4. Her appearance at Higuchi’s graduation ceremony brought out many deep memories of how the two were close friends who strove together since the start of Nogi.
-Kubo’s and Maaya’s parents were upset when they moved to Tokyo to join Nogi. Kubo’s parents thought they would move together and didn’t realize Kubo would be going alone. Maaya’s parents cried every day. Maaya still gets very homesick.
-When the 3ki joined Nogi, Maaya thought they could be friends since they’re around the same age. Among Under members, Maaya invites 3ki the most often for meals. Christie often contacts Maaya to go out to eat, and they’ve also cooked meals at Kubo’s place.
-Maaya plays Nogizaka46’s Ookami ni Kuchibue wo. Her mom was very anxious when she saw the very short shorts Maaya wore in the MV.
-Maaya plays a song she often centered at Under Lives, Nogizaka46’s Wilderness World.
-Maaya’s Hiroshima prefecture recommendations: 1. Oysters and fugu pufferfish. 2. The Fukuyama Rose Festival in Maaya’s hometown. 3. Okonomimura, an entire building devoted to okonomiyaki restaurants, which 1ki and 2ki have visited.
-Maaya plays another song she centered that’s filled with memories for her, Nogizaka46’s Ano Hi Boku wa Tossa ni Uso wo Tsuita.
-Maaya plays her final single, Nogizaka46’s Under’s Love.
-When asked to give some remarks for the listeners, Maaya simply says that today was fun, she's happy if you enjoyed it, and thank you.
-When Kubo expresses interest in visiting Hiroshima again for its seasonal charms, Maaya praises her for being seriously gracious and respectful. Kubo has an attitude of truly wanting to learn more, and she’ll study up on places before visiting them; Maaya thinks Kubo has been incredible ever since she first joined.

Asuka invites Renka and Yoda to her ANN swan song:

if the video does not show watch the video here
1st half: Kubo, Asuka, and Renka in studio
-Asuka is characteristically evasive throughout the episode, like when Kubo asks her the standard graduating member’s question of why she auditioned for Nogi, Asuka responds, “Let’s talk about something else.” Kubo says this could be Asuka’s final chance to speak on ANN, but Asuka says, isn't it unpleasant to say something or to be kind just because it’s the last time?
-When 3ki first joined Nogi, rather than thinking they're cute, Asuka felt threatened because the 3ki were fresh and shiny and Asuka thought she’d lose to them. Kubo asks why Asuka has declared she’s a 3ki oshi then. Asuka explains, “Aren’t the 3ki great?” She likes their songs, their vibe, their division of roles, and how they chat noisily in the dressing room, although sometimes they’re too noisy.
-Asuka was allowed to pick any member to join her ANN graduation episode. The 3ki came to her mind first, and most of all Renka because she’s never stopped liking Asuka, and Asuka likes people who are devoted. Asuka wanted an opportunity to talk more with Renka and Yoda. The episode is split so the conversation doesn't get too divided.
-Asuka reads out some prewritten questions. Renka asks: How do you relax and refresh when you’re very tired? Asuka says she does normal stuff like everyone else… After some verbal wrangling, Asuka reveals she likes to smell the aroma of coffee beans as she grinds them in her manual coffee grinder while sitting on her sofa with her eyes closed.
-Renka asks: What’s the most delicious food you’ve eaten before? Asuka never answers, but she says she now values every meal because she watched comedian Chihara Junior’s Youtube channel where he talked about cherishing every meal because you never know when you’ll get hurt or sick, and she wants to live that way. When asked what her favorite meat is, Asuka says, “If we go eat yakiniku together, then you’ll know,” which Kubo and Renka willfully interpret to mean Asuka’s inviting them to eat yakiniku.
-Asuka plays a Renka center song, Nogizaka46’s Do My Best Ja Imi wa Nai.
-Asuka says she hates making future appointments with people and would be happy to be invited on the same day, but then says she’s in the mood to accept such an invitation only about twice per year. She was recently reproached by Captain Manatsu because she waits until the last moment to decide whether to join people, but proper adults need to call ahead and make reservations.

2nd half: Kubo, Asuka, and Yoda in studio
-A few weeks ago, Asuka told Yoda to make sure to sleep, which Yoda excitedly interpreted to mean Asuka was planning to invite her to a sleepover. When Yoda discovered it was because of ANN, she was like, oh, it’s for work, huh. Asuka has visited Endou and Ume’s homes, but she’s never invited anyone besides family to her own home.
-Kubo asks: Did you watch this year’s M1 Grand Prix? Asuka: No.
-Yoda asks: Where is your house? Asuka: “There’s no way I’m saying that!” But Asuka does know where Yoda’s house is. Yoda: “Why? That’s scary!”
-Kubo asks: What’s your favorite 3ki song? Asuka says she’ll answer that some other time.
-Asuka plays a Nogizaka46 song she likes, the Yoda-centered Zenbu Yume no Mama.
-Asuka insists she didn’t actually invite Kubo and Renka to eat yakiniku just now, and tells Kubo to check the tape to verify. The radio staff then actually play back the recorded conversation. Asuka only said “if” they go eat yakiniku, but Kubo bulldozes over her and says they’re all going to go eat yakiniku. Yoda says she’ll come too.
-When sharing meals with kouhai, Asuka doesn’t try to surreptitiously pay the bill when kouhai are distracted, instead she directly and openly pays for them. What if kouhai insist on paying? Asuka says she’ll grab them by the collar and persuade them by force. Choking enthusiast Yoda happily says, “Asuka-san, let’s go!”
-Asuka plays her favorite 3ki song, Nogizaka46’s Mainichi ga Brand New Day.
-Yoda says when she finishes her laundry, she piles her clothes on her bed and sleeps beside them for one night before putting them on clothes hangers. But recently some of the clothes fell off her bed, she stepped on it, fell over, and bruised herself. Asuka is baffled by what she’s hearing.
-Asuka plays a poignant song she’s listened to since long ago that's a bit similar to her current feelings, Ozaki Yutaka’s Forget-Me-Not.

The final 1st generation member’s final episode:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Kubo and Manatsu ended the first day of the 11th Year Birthday Live in Yokohama Arena a few hours ago. Kubo’s legs are tired and her feet heavy; Manatsu’s whole body is sore.
-Last Sunday, Kubo guested on an ANN radio special with Iruka, a folk singer who hosted her own ANN show 48 years ago. At 22:05, Kubo plays the recording of their duet of Iruka’s 1975 song Nagoriyuki. The special was the first time they’d met, but Iruka came to the Birthday Live today wearing Kubo’s towel.
-Kubo will double-center Nogi’s next single with Mizuki. Kubo notes that her name hasn’t appeared much in the news before and a lot of ANN listeners probably don’t know what she looks like.
-When Kubo started hosting ANN, she resolved not to lie or create a false mask for herself on ANN. This caused her to start answering questions more honestly in idol interviews and be herself more outside of ANN. She says she won’t change who she is, even if she talks too much about baseball. She then proceeds to talk about baseball.
-Manatsu was Nogi’s captain for 3.5 years. After Umezawa was announced as the new captain tonight, during the song that followed, Manatsu was struck by the feeling that her position was over and she couldn’t stop crying. She says even though she was captain, she continued stumbling in her actions and speech, so she hopes Kubo can also continue being Kubo-ish when she's center, and even bring more of Kubo’s messiness from her private life into her work life.
-Kubo proactively contacted Manatsu after her graduation announcement, the first time she’s done that for any senpai, because she knows that Manatsu wants to end her time by talking with everyone, and Kubo loves how accepting Manatsu is of Kubo’s silly and clingy side. When Kubo fools around backstage and says “I’m annoying today,” Manatsu smiles and replies, “I know.”
-Kubo thinks the best-looking food Manatsu’s posted on social media was her New Year’s osechi. Manatsu says she made it because her little brother visited and wanted to eat osechi, it took 2 or 3 hours to make.
-Manatsu joined Nogi in her last year of high school. What would she dream of doing if she hadn’t joined? She’d enter college, persuade a friend to nominate her for the university beauty pageant, act surprised and say “Oh, I couldn’t!” when she’s invited onstage, go on to win the pageant grand prix and say “I’m so surprised, I didn’t think of anything to say!” before giving a prepared speech, graduate college and join an office as an announcer, start off as a weathercaster, get invited into the studio to present regular news, and finally become the main presenter of a news program. Kubo: “That’s our captain. She’s cute.”
-Manatsu plays her last Nogizaka46 song, Bokutachi no Sayonara.
-Manatsu thanks listeners and says all her ANN appearances have been fun. She can be her natural self on the radio and be accepted. She likes Kubo’s style of talking, and hopes the dialogue between Kubo and the listeners can continue to create an enjoyable show.

The final 2nd generation member's final episode:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Kubo gushes about Japan’s World Baseball Classic victory. When Yoshida Masataka hit a game-tying home run in the semifinals vs Mexico, Kubo’s phone blew up with notifications from members and managers who normally don’t follow baseball. Kubo was moved when members and fans told her she taught them how interesting baseball could be.
-Ayane doesn’t usually cook dishes at home, but she does cook her own rice, in a pot. Kubo declares her the pride of Akita Prefecture, which is known for its rice.
-Ayane’s graduation doesn’t feel real to her yet. Kubo says that’s what every graduate said, including Manatsu, which reassures Ayane.
-Ayane recently published her book Kotoba no Umi wo Samayou (“Wandering the Sea of Words”), a collection of interviews with editors, printers, designers, etc. involved in the creation of dictionaries.
-Ayane once gifted Kubo a dictionary to read in her spare time.
-Ayane’s time in Nogi without other 2ki was lonelier than she imagined. She hopes the final graduating member of 3rd/4th/5th gen won’t be alone in the end, for example if the final two graduated together instead, but anyway it’s very tough so she hopes whoever’s last gets support from members and fans. Kubo says that’s why she’s happy when she sees Ayane smiling and getting along with kouhai, she says the kouhai fight for Ayane’s attention.
-Ayane plays the first 2nd gen song, full of memories, Nogizaka46’s Kakigoori no Kataomoi.
-In her early Nogi days when she was in middle school, Ayane commuted alone to Tokyo by airplane and accumulated many miles. She says buying same-day tickets at the airport is easy, in fact there are discounts for young people (on certain Japanese airlines). Ayane’s now been living alone in Tokyo for 7 years.
-Ayane doesn’t own many clothes, so they all fit in her small closet, though she does consider how much fits in her closet when shopping. Kubo doesn’t consider that, so her clothes overflow out of her closet into her room.
-Kubo is overjoyed to learn that, just like Kubo, Ayane will eat anything in bed, including potato chips or soup. Kubo says the only other member who shares this achievement(?) is Yoda. Based on such commonalities, Kubo declares herself and Ayane to be “Tohoku sisters.” A listener writes in to clarify that not everyone in Japan’s Tohoku region is so degenerate.
-Ayane predicts that she'll be so excited from ANN tonight that she won't fall asleep until 6 a.m., she'll wake after 12 hours at 6 p.m., eat ice cream in bed (Kubo: “Ayane, I love you!”), and then go back to sleep at midnight.
-Ayane plays a 3rd gen song she loves, Nogizaka46’s Mirai no Kotae.

I read something about Miku using an improper word during last night's show. The word in question is '発狂' (fr. dic: 'madness', 'craziness', 'insanity').
Kubo had to apologize afterwards in behalf.

The country has its own version of Carlin's 7 Words too but looks like the list is way longer. Plus the show is live. It's interesting because in the English-speaking world, saying what would be the equivalent of this word in media is generally fine.

I think at the end of the day this is nothingburgers and will probably settle and be forgotten in a few days' time but it's a small taste of these so-called cultural differences.

Maybe regular contributor Gofindnova can shed more light on this on his/her next update? XD

Is that list only specify words they can't say on radio broadcast? I saw at least two words in that list that Nogi members said on Nogichuu.
For example, Maaya, on Nogichuu ep 87, collab ep with Keyakizaka, read 'uncle' as 'unko'. I also saw Kiichan and Renka often mentioned members called them Kusogaki.
Of course, Umazuki also successfully made Maiyan said unbeliveable words, like Kintama (testicle) and even Houkei (phimosis - 包茎).
I also saw a clip of a TV show when Kaz explained about a word in a sentence that show use in her segment, that she and Nogi member can't say/read, which is doutei (virgin).

It depends on the context too(read the remarks on the website) but it's preferably not to use it at all on any broadcast. Actually the very recent similar case would be last year, a member of male idol group also said the same word on a radio and they did apologize for it right away.
It's nothing big but that's something I like about Japan broadcast that they instantly apologize for any issue to prevent future trouble.

Kawasaki and Miku are the first 5ki guests on ANN:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Miku’s been grinning since she entered the Nippon Broadcasting studio. Miku loved ANN in elementary school and has listened to almost all of Kubo’s ANN. Kubo lets Miku pretend to be the host and repeat the ANN intro and opening theme.
-Ume has been contacting Miku frequently with advice about appearing on the morning TV show The Time.
-Kubo cried watching Sakura’s opening performance at the World Figure Skating Championships. Sakura was very nervous because her audience this time was skating fans. She hadn’t skated for 3 years, so she drew a lot of blanks during practice. The hardest jump in her routine was a double axel, which she says is a big jump in skill over a single axel.
-The 5ki learned from watching senpai that they should respond “hai!” when they're named during a senbatsu announcement, but Miku and Sakura were so nervous that their responses were inaudible during the 32nd senbatsu broadcast. Sakura didn’t expect to be called, so she wore a casual hoodie, and she trembled so much that Yumiki asked her if she was okay.
-Since kindergarten, Sakura dreamed of being a pediatrician because she likes children and babies and she wants a job that helps people. She didn’t want to be a pro figure skater because lots of people skate and she didn’t have the talent to compete.
-Why did they audition for Nogi? Miku always liked cute girls and had idol oshis since elementary school. She hadn’t considered becoming an idol, but she kept seeing the auditions in the media, so she applied a day before the deadline. Sakura wasn’t involved in idol stuff before, but she read on Line News that Nogi auditions got extended for one day, so she decided to give it a try.
-Kubo is surprised at how much 5ki sleep behind the scenes; Miku says it’s contagious. Teresa sleeps the most, often after eating.
-Kubo’s first dream was for many years to become a patissier. Sakura asks if Kubo has always seemed like a grown-up. Kubo says no, she was a “me! me!” type and got scolded a lot. Kubo’s earliest memory is of all the kids lining up to use the monkey bars on the kindergarten playground, Kubo cut in front of everyone and shouted “I’ll do it!”, the teacher got very angry at her, and she cried a lot.
-Miku asks what’s the best gift to bring when invited by senpai to a Live or stage play. Kubo says Shine Muscat grapes or other such fruits will get people excited. Kubo asks what 5ki would want. Miku also says fruit, her favorite is strawberries.
-Sakura asks Kubo how she stays refreshed when busy. Kubo says baseball, she doesn’t think about work when watching it. Miku’s stress relief method is being with Aya, but recently she’s been busy and can’t meet every day. Sakura recently bought various books to read because she wants to increase her vocabulary.
-Miku asks how much makeup to wear at rehearsals. A lot of members change into nice clothes, and Sakura says a relatively large number of 5ki put on makeup, so she feels out of place without any. Ume’s hair and eyebrows are always on point; Miku and Sakura have never seen Ume without makeup, and even 3ki rarely see her without makeup. At rehearsals, Kubo doesn’t wear makeup and she chooses outfits that are easy to move in. Kubo says no makeup is fine, but for the on-camera rehearsals, especially on location without masks, it’s better to do makeup and use the same hairstyle as for the real event, so the final effect can be seen on camera. Sakura says lots of 5ki have discussed how to become more like Kubo, like maybe by sharing the same makeup artist as Kubo, but Kubo wears very light makeup and still looks great, so they’ve concluded they’re just born different. Kubo insists the 5ki are cute and no different without makeup.
-Miku and Sakura have messy rooms and both eat in bed, but Sakura draws the line at soup in bed.
Thanks for mentioning it, the phrase and apology were edited out of the Youtube video I used, so I otherwise might've missed it.

The list you linked to was compiled for a university project and isn’t by an official broadcaster. It looks like the author found all phrases ever designated improper for any reason, so I think only a very formal broadcast like NHK News would follow all of it. The list contains words I’ve heard multiple times on ANN and other entertainment programs like yabai, OL, gaki, chibi, charinko, so they don’t all hold the same weight. (The list indicates 子供 should be replaced with 子ども, but the list also recommends 子供 as a replacement for other words, so…) I can't find an official list online, so these prohibitions are probably internal to each company.

As for 発狂 itself, I guess that means it’s offensive. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
English has a long history of using mental illness-related terms in negative ways, but I don’t have the Japanese cultural background to judge just how bad 発狂 is. For what it’s worth, a lot of online commenters didn't know 発狂 was prohibited either, so I don’t think anything will come of this incident.
    片付けなさすぎてずっと放置してるので、定期的に来る母が発狂しながら…「えー!?」って言いながら全部洗濯してくれますね。
I totally don’t put away [the clothes I’ve worn] and always leave them lying around, so my mother who regularly visits goes insane… she goes “eh~!?” while doing all my laundry for me.

This week’s guest is first 4th gen graduate Yuri:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Kubo wants to attend a June 26 screening of a new documentary about the World Baseball Classic, but she needs to ask her manager what her work schedule will be that day.
-Yuri will graduate from Nogi at the end of June. Kubo says there wasn’t much time between Yuri announcing her graduation to the members and Yuri’s graduation date. Yuri wishes she could’ve announced it sooner.
-When Kubo asks how 4ki first reacted to the announcement, Yuri replies the 4ki cried a lot, but they gathered in a circle and told each other they’d enjoy the remaining time together with a smile. Yuri has been privately doing things with 4ki that she wants to do before graduation. Kubo says Yuri has a wonderful sensitivity and is able translate the group’s warmth into words.
-Yuri doesn’t remember exactly why she auditioned for Nogi in her 2nd year of high school, but at that time, she was having trouble in her personal relationships and she was helped by listening to Nogi songs and watching Nogizaka Koujichuu, which were the only smiles she was seeing in her life, so she wanted to become more like Nogi. At the auditions, she was nervous and didn’t expect to pass, so she couldn’t talk to or meet the eyes of other applicants. After joining, her impression of what she originally liked about the group changed, but she gradually grew to be able to like the place, and she says all the people here and the people they’re involved with are good people.
-Yuri is a 4th year college student at Keio University. She’s made classmate friends with whom she discusses academic stuff. She’s only eaten at the school cafeteria twice because it’s too crowded and rushed for a slow eater like Yuri. If she wasn’t in Nogi, she’d join the band club.
-When they discuss college, Kubo is amusedly bemused to hear scholarly terms like rejume (“lesson outline”), purosesu (“process”), and bunken (“literature”).
-Uniqlo and GU are common brands worn by college students, but Yuri likes to wear vintage clothing. When 5ki first met other Nogi members, Kubo was embarrassed to discover she was wearing the same GU outfit as Iroha.
-Yuri was born in the USA, so she knows English, and she’s been told she has a unique Japanese writing style. At Kubo’s request, she pronounces several phrases throughout the episode:
    48:15 “All Night Nippon”
    1:03:15 “Yes” and “No”
1:21:30 She translates 好きな人のジャジーを着るの、夢だったんだ, a phrase from a listener mail about a student romance.
1:23:55 “My name is Yuri Kitagawa” in French
    1:33:25 “Peninsula”
    1:34:40 “Hey, Shiori”
-Kubo thinks of Yuri as being neat and refined, but Yuri says yes to every example Kubo offers in the “slovenly lifestyle” radio segment, such as eating food in bed, re-wearing clothes, using chopsticks to eat pudding, etc. Yuri says Kubo should go to America; Kubo would be considered well-organized and tidy in America.
-From elementary to high school, Yuri attended girls’ schools. In middle school, Yuri was in musical club, but she quit halfway through because she kept accidentally dropping things and getting scolded. In high school, she joined mandolin club because she heard a song from the movie The Wind Rises (plays in the background at 1:17:05) being played in school by the mandolin club.
-Yuri plays a song she listened to all the time in middle school, Sekai no Owari’s Fushichou (“Phoenix”).

The previous ANN videos have been terminated, again. The channel for this week’s video has the longest archive I can find, so you can click through and search the channel for オールナイトニッポン if you want older episodes. Or, just search Youtube for オールナイトニッポン plus a member’s name (in Japanese) if this channel gets whacked too.

    * * *
    This week’s guest is Mayu:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Kubo calls Mayu “Mayu.” Mayu initially called Kubo “Shio-chan,” but recently calls her “Shiori-chan.” Kubo says Seira calls her “Shiori-chan” and that habit spread to other 4ki.
-Mayu is a night owl. At night, she usually watches anime or Youtube or plays with her cat.
-Mayu says the sound of the Summer Okinawa Live audience whistling through their fingers was incredible, they whistled more than any other Live audience, even before the concert started.
-Kubo reports that Kuromi brought ice cream from an airport vending machine onto the airplane to Okinawa. After sitting on the plane and talking for 10 minutes to other members (Mayu says Kuromi is surprisingly talkative and won’t stop once she starts), Kuromi opened the package and spilled melting ice cream on her dress. When they arrived in Okinawa and received a meal of tacos, legendary spiller Kaede was not to be outdone, and managed to spill salsa out of a sealed plastic container by accidentally dropping the container and crushing the lid.
-On the night of the 2nd day of the Summer Hokkaido Live, Kubo asked who wanted to go with her early the next morning to a local marketplace to eat breakfast and see crabs and such. Mayu raised her hand higher than anyone else, but she overslept and didn’t show up the next morning. Mayu says quite a few 4ki are like that; Kaki will also say she wants to go somewhere, but then can’t wake up.
-Mayu and Kubo once took a day trip together to Hakone. At their hotel, they decided to wake up early to take turns using their room’s luxurious open-air bath, but Mayu overslept again and Kubo had to wake her up and tell her they were going to be late for breakfast.
-Mayu and Kubo both talk a lot and very quickly, so the day after their Hakone trip, Kubo’s throat was sore simply from talking with Mayu.
-Mayu’s photobook was shot around October last year in Guam and Palau. Mayu enjoyed the hamburgers and fries. She had lots of detailed ideas about photos she wanted to take, based on what she thought was good in other photobooks. The photobook’s title Koi ni Ochita Shunkan (“The Moment You Fell in Love”) was chosen by Mayu after the cover photo was decided. She hopes people have that captivated feeling when they see it.
-Mayu plays a song she listened to while riding the bus in her student days, Shishamo’s Boku ni Kanojo ga Dekitanda.
