    Rina Matsuda was appointed as the new captain of Keyakizaka46 and Sakurazaka46 on November 10, following the graduation of Yuka Sugai, who has been the captain of both Keyakizaka46 and Sakurazaka46 for about 6 years. She has been leading the group from the beginning among the 2nd generation members who are said to have a strong personality, and has taken on the position of transmitting the charm of the group through radio and television. Looking back on her success so far, she unravels the captaincy inherited from Sugai.

    Matsuda has a unique career as a former banker. While many of her idol activities were her first social experiences, Matsuda worked as a banker after graduating from high school. However, she was encouraged by her older sister to apply for the "Sakamichi Joint New Member Recruitment Audition", and she joined Keyakizaka46 as a 2nd generation member.


    Her former captain Sugai said:
    “From my point of view, Matsuri (Matsuda) always thinks that the other members are inspired by her positivity. Even though they have a tough schedule, they are able to properly control their feelings and come into the dressing room energetically in the mornings, so just by being there she makes the scene brighter
