Hina-chan, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE???

Bring me back my sweet rabbit...

OK, I'm completely MAD with these "aesthetic interventions" to "rectify" things... They took away the most CHARMING point of Hina-chan, the extra, super-duper cawaii boost of this sweet kitsune...

What was wrong with these rabbit-teeth and the oh-so-characteristic cute little gap? Noooooo, they had to fix it... And now Hinachi looks somewhat swollen and her cutely imposing cheekbones now dominate her face. Her profile seems more flat as well as the chin has somehow "fallen back" with the removal of this charming slight teeth protrusion.

Nature creates things for a reason, and Hina's image was what made people like her so much. Even those slight imperfections (for some, as for others are not) is what gives "character" and style to one's looks. And above all: of it works don't "fix" it...

I know beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and if Hina thinks that's better, then I'm happy. I will always have her among my top-5 Hinatas but I hereby officially declare fan of the "old Hina", the one before this dental crime...

I get what some of you are saying about her teeth, but it's also possible that the changes were recommended for the long term health of her teeth. Small gaps in teeth can issues down the road as well as even a slight overbite. I have a friend who had to have jaw surgery because he never had his overbite adjusted when he was young. Basically what happened was that the lower teeth end up messing up the inside of the upper teeth after many years. It can get bad.

Obviously I'm not saying everyone has to have the same, "perfect" looking teeth. Just noting that the changes may have been recommended for reasons other than just cosmetic.

 

I don't want to beat a dead horse especially since we don't know why she fixed her teeth but it's kinda crazy how much her new teeth have changed her appearance. Don't get me wrong, she's still pretty, but sometimes I can barely recognize her. It's different from Nao bc Nao still looks the same except with straight teeth. Hina almost looks like a new person.

 

Is she really that different? To me she is still the same. The only difference maybe is her baby cheeks is a bit disappear and she looks much more mature now.

Indeed, but my gut feeling gives 70% cosmetic reasons and 30% dental hygiene.

...isn't it so? I'm glad that at least someone else notices it. This is an entirely new Kawata, still pretty but "throught the Korean way" and I definitely prefer the old Kawata.

Yes, I'm afraid she changed a lot. We are talking about the "teenager" Hina and the "adult" Hina. Although there is some true to what you say: Hina did actually change gradually from the Hiragana days to 2021 (when the cute rabbit was just growing to a wonderfull young girl) and then... this!
