omg Hinana climbed so far up the ranks this year. I'm glad she's getting noticed more and more She's still my loud and energetic ni-oshi. This year was good for her; she had a leading role in AKB no Uta drama, she had a viral moment that ended up with her getting a personal invite to her oshimens graduation concert, she won a centre position at AKB's Budoukan concert, she was acknowledged with multiple awards at AKB's anniversary, and of course she's still a leader at the theatre. My sunshine.

Another of my theatre girl faves. She my favourite dancer in the group, she has so much energy (and aggression) in her dance. And I love her brutally honest and no-nonsense personality that rarely gives fanservice. She got in a bit of trouble last year for strongly defending Naachan, but it only makes me like her more. She's also getting prettier every year.

This year Yuami has been increasing her outside work, appearing in a bunch of stageplays. She's also been getting some good exposure for SayoMouri, so I hope she's getting noticed a bit more by everyone! My other fave dancer along with Manami.

My discovery of the year. I didn't know Hiina very well until she moved to Team K, but she's jumped right into my top 10. She's so fucking unintentionally funny, every time she speaks I look forward to what she's going to say. Especially I love her relationship with Tomu, I'm so sad Tomu is graduating and I can't see their banter anymore. Here's an exchange between Tomu (who believes strongly in senior/junior hierarchy) and Hiina (who believes seniors are there to be bullied). Despite her age bullying, Hiina is very beloved by even the graduated senpai, she's a very kind girl.

Last year I was interested in how her move to Team A away from her sister would fare; turns out she's thriving as one of Team A's key members. She's so confident at talking, and can easily lead MCs. She's getting plenty of outside work, both with and without Tomu.

I was totally fished by her at HS this year lol. She's so cute, and she tries so hard in performances; multiple times she's had to learn a new Team 4 stage position at the last minute, and she always does well. In the past she's had a negative character, but she's trying to turn that around, or rather, use it to her advantage. The difference in mental state between her brithday speech last year and this year was stark, she's working hard to improve herself and growing a lot.

She's insane, I love her. Everything that comes out her mouth is unhinged. She looks so cute, and then you go to her insta and it's full of gay porn. She bullies her fans constantly. My favourite recent episode was her bragging about being with a man on Xmas, then revealing it's an anime man, then revealing she was meeting him by spending Xmas at an anime tie-in cafe; causing her to get in trouble with staff for revealing to wota exactly where they could find her on Xmas. She said on her birthday this year she's aiming for senbatsu, and I feel it's not impossible for her.

Another member who's so good at MC and talking, she's loud and confident, so the energy always goes up when Hattori is around. She'll definitely be missed in Team K when she leaves.

I love her face, I just love it, just looking at her makes me happy. Also her slightly husky voice. Have a video of her talking about how she likes MILFs.

My comment last year: 'My most underrated AKB member. She's sooo pretty, and so fun to watch on stage. Her Japanese is so much better now too, I'd love to see her get some kind of push. I really enjoyed her youtube videos, shame she's stopped them.' Literally all still applies; except now her agency mess is sorted out and she back to posting on Youtube!

Another cute and little bit sarcastic member. She seems to be influenced by Hiina into age bullying the senpai. Her love for AKB is seriously second to none. Her shining moment this year was winning AKB to Uta, writing the script for the drama and starring in it~ I hope she gets a bit of push soon. Have a fun video of her collarbone fetish taking over the MC.

I've never really noticed Nagi much, but this year she stood out so much as a leader in Team B. Sometimes I forget that Team B's leader is actually Naamin :/ Nagi is so reliable and looks after the younger members so well, as well as being a very strong performer. When she centres Itoshiki Natasha at the theatre? *chefs kiss*

I can't believe how high she ranked, I thought I might be the only one voting for her. I tried not to put graduated members on this years list, but I ended up adding Kanabun, because there were SO MANY times this year I though 'Damn, I wish Kana was here.' Another of the groups best dancers, with a smile I loved. Thankfully she still posts on Tiktok so I can see her a little.

All of my Sakamichi members are on the board now! Kyoko had a really good year and I love her single so that's why I voted her high. Yuuka is a tremendous captain and I was sad to see her graduate but proud of her work! Honosu shot up my rankings a lot because of how funny she is on SokoSaku and she's a blast to watch perform! Lots of positive experiences with Yuri in general and Ato no Matsuri is an awesome song! I also had a good experience with Mion on the online talks so I threw her some points!

I'm happy the two members I voted for at #2 and #3 made it to the top 25. Excited to see the rankings!

Beautiful, down-to-earth and funny. What more could one ask for?

Saito Kyoko: the self-proclaimed "Japan's GF" ...she's so unique, starting from her deep voice, proceding to her complete lack of common sense in the kitchen and ending with her comedic skills (LOL I still laugh whenever I picture her in "Dasada" marching like a drill sergeant! )

Matsuda Rina: I remember how funny she was already at the very beginning (that "standing ovation" gag with Ozeki was brilliant! ), and she's been a constant source of fun ever since. Well-deserved new captain, I'm sure Sakurazaka will reach new heights with her at the helm! Yay Matsuri!

After Cocona graduation (the end of Umeyamamoto also), I thought there would be nothing for me to care about NMB48 anymore but then I learned about Sakatan. The original ACE of 8th gen - Sae wasn't my taste but Sakatan's smile is definitely my taste, it reminds me so much of Aayan. Sakatan has everything to be an ACE, beautiful smile, great energy on stage, and a humorous personality. I also like Sakasaka combi so much, good job NMB you've found the WCenter 4th generation after SayaMilky, MiruFuu, and Umeyamamoto (although I think in management's eyes new ACE is Sakatan&Keito)
Anyway I give her 10 points, about 1/3 of her total points =))))))) reward for a year full of hard-working. It's her 1st year in the group but she has performed in 3 different stages (2 shonichi, 1 center position), plenty of concerts (both as Senbatsu and Undergirl).

The "new three musketeers" is really some hints (and somehow they are my top3 in 17ki).

Apart from her fairly successful PB, she appeared in 58 magazine issues and was on the cover for 34 of them. She even got on a shortlist of 2022 MVP by 48Times - sometimes it feels like all the journalists, editors and insiders rate her more than anyone else! In 2023 I wish she'd get more support from her group and that she herself would get a bit better and more consistent in promoting herself!

Unjo Hirona: I gave her 5 points. She's my HKT oshimen, and the only HKT member I ranked (I didn't follow HKT much in 2022). I think Nappi had such a good year in 2021 (center of a very good song, solo stage, photobook, regular in a variety show, the start of an acting project that continued in early 2022...), so 2022 was less exciting and more "normal" for her. but I think 2023 is starting very well, she just got her own regular radio show, she's doing the acting project again, and she apparently centered the stage for the new Team H! That's great I hope this year can be like 2021 for her (and yes I want her to center a single again T_T).

Chiba Erii: I gave her 4 points. Among the 2 singles of AKB in 2022, I love HisaLip the most (actually it's my favorite a-side since Sustainable). I think Erii did a great job with this single and I watched the shows where she went to promote, she did very well with talking and having topics to discuss. I also love her style and especially her long hair and her hairstyles, it's so pretty! and I love her pair with Maho (they're so funny together) and with Kokone (she acts like a mom to her, too cute). Her YouTube channel is nice too!

Hashimoto Haruna: I gave her 9 points, and she's in my top 3! and this is my first time ranking her lol. Early in 2022, I just became a big fan of her suddenly. I was surprised that AKB has a member like this and I only really noticed her now, so late... She's so cute and pretty! She makes the cutest hairstyles and expressions I started watching a lot of content of her, and it made me love her even more ;w; I'm glad she has some solo jobs. and when she appeared in Sayonara Mouri-san, she did great like when she complained about Maho lol. XD I like her little competition with Maho about the "pyon" name. I just love both of them I also really hope to see her in senbatsu someday ;w;

Saito Kyoko - One of all-time absolute favorites. A-Side center and her appearance in The F1rst Take were so good. I hope 2023 will give her even more exposure, and, may my wish be granted, a solo single.

Gyoten Yurina - New agency and the (hella deserved) beauty award (it may not a huuuge thing, but I'm sure it helped at least a little). I hope all this leads to many new jobs, and that her recognition grow and grow and grow.

Sugawara Satsuki - This girl just got something. Shortly after 5kis introduction last February, she just teleported herself into my Top3 Nogi members. Now, after one year, I can say that that wasn't just for the moment. If my #1 and #2 will leave, she'll surely be my oshimen until her grad in the faaar future.

Mukaichi Mion - 2022 was strange for me. Yes I like Mion a lot, but I was totally detached from her. Her, in my opinion, bad managing in Okada's case didn't help either. Still, she's a great idol, beautiful and charming, so she gets points from me.

Matsuda Rina - One of my two SakuFavs, and the first member I was able to attach to. She's a great entertainer, and surely is/be a great captain. Looking forward what 2023 will bring for her.

Ohhh I'm so happy my oshimen 1. Ran-chan ranked within the Top 50!! I'm so happy there are 5 other people who voted for her as well! Last year, it was just me and two others, and she had a total of 20 points, which meant I gave her 15 points, and then two other people gave her 2 and 3 points each. This time, she's gotten more points from other people too!

Ran-chan is a super hard worker, she's learned the choreographies of each individual senbatsu position for the last 3 singles, she's created her own Hisashiburi no Lip Gloss music video (thanks also to camera-woman Shimoguchi Hinana) and she's super chipper at hanashikai and remembers her fans (such as myself). I hope she will continue to rise in popularity, especially among Japanese fans, now that she's got a spot in the cooking senbatsu and will be featured in her first ever music video since debuting in 2018. She really deserves this!

My oshi in Hinata, 08. Kyonko has attracted me both through her personality in variety shows as well as with her amazing voice. Someone has already posted her One Take cover, but also listen to her solo song on the most recent single (for which she is the a-side center too btw!)

I've always liked 18. Manaka, but I felt like I was betraying my oshi team, Team K, so I never really got into her as much as some other members. Well, fret no more, as Manaka is the new Team K captain, and I think she's working really hard! I was sad to see Komi go, as I really liked Komi too, but Manaka is really trying her best despite being so young, and she had to juggle captaincy, school work and being in senbatsu. She's graduated from high school now, so that's one load of work off her shoulders at least!

Only 1 to go, yet I'm quite surprised

Ten -> I believe she's our present and, most important, will be our future as well, finding a place no one reached yet in Sakura. She has been an amazing surprise, making Sakura and fans spin with tornado force. The songs she centered are so far my absolute favorite in Sakura discography and her model pics are always incredible. But the thing I like more is the interresting way she lives her job, not like a kid, not like an adult yet, but with the ability to mix adult professionalism with kid playfulness and creativity.

Marina -> Surprised to see her so high since she has been the most criticized in Saku 2ki. Too loud, too smiling, too out there to be really liked... well, all the reasons I like her even more. She keeps "failing" in SokoSaku and that's part of her charm. I'm glad mngmnt chose her as next captain. She managed to create a link between 2ki and 1ki and push forward when other can't. Looking forward to her next years as Cap now that she also has a new gen to take care of and new goals to reach.

Runa -> Now, this is a BIG surprise to me. I'm not sure what Runa did to grow her fanbase like this, I hope it's not just her senbatsu position, but I'm truly happy about it. With Rei she's my Saka35 fave, she has one of the best untrained voices in Sakamichi and she's growing and getting better and better. Check either Nogi Star Tanjou or Nogi Skitz and you'll see how versatile and good she can be.

Yuuka -> As everyone of my fellow buddies knows by now, I have a love-hate relatioship with Yuuka, except love and hate are too strong words to really describe it. I simply think she wasn't the best choice as captain for Keyaki back in the day. There were too many free and strong willed members and she ended up being the face of mngmnt before than of the group. This said, I'm the first to admit Yuuka didn't just grow as member but she fought hard and harder and became a great captain for Sakura. Because of that she has all my respect and I wanted show it in some way. Wish the best of luck to her from now on knowing wherever she'll be, she'll keep supporting sakura with all her heart.
