The last phone call was a perfect way to end the episode on laughs and not tears haha

remembering the full name of Picasso .... I'm stunned :)
otoh, I remember a Team 4 member that memorised the complet Japanese constitution

ow, and I'm prepared to back up Ayanan's parents on their statement

Hama-chan knowing how to weld, that's definitely not something you would associate with being an idol :)

I like the statement by Suzuha's parents
This episode kinda drives home the fact that being an idol can be hard with lots of disappointments.
For a lot of them it's being so close, and still being unable to get selected.
So Suzuha's parents stance is probably the best.

The next episode (which happens to be #48) is the last one - I hope it doesn't take another year for a replacement show to appear. I'll miss learning about the the majority of members who don't regularly appear on TV, and will also miss Miichan in captain mode, figuratively holding the KKS/nervous members hands and helping them answer questions the MCs throw at them, and standing up for the members when required. Maybe MCing a show is high on her list of future jobs.

I found it amusing that most of the members knew which member the parent on the phone was referring to after 1 sentence.

The show will be replaced by the OO48 project, so it's not a successor in the spiritual sense, it won't have this sort of theme, but the time slot is still booked by AKB for their own show.

Before Miichan graduated I voiced the opinion that Miichan would be great as manager or coach for kenkyuusei.
(and if I judge the reactions during @JAM correctly, most active idols see her as someone to look up to)

But however much she was happy to leave the lime light to her juniors and take a step back when needed, as in this show, she also still wants the attention for her self as well.
She has worked had the last two years on her solo path, I don't think she's ready/willing for a behind the scenes role just yet.

I don't think Miichan is high profile enough for that, I think she has the skills (AKB had her host several shows in the past on her own) but apart from that she's a bit too much of an allrounder.

so far Miichan's post AKB career is filled with surprises :)

I don't know how to weld, even though my father use to have a factory making conveyor belt rollers (no idea what he correct English term is), the bigger ones had welded endcaps)
I do know it's not as easy as it looks :)

I will miss this show. I love the hosts as well. I love when the duo host feed each others energies and also have a good chemistry with the members, just like Sata and Kiyoto. hope they will have another funny variety show soon.

In this last episode the non-senbatsu are telling us with which senbatsu member they would swap places. Wait, is this going to be another "we complain about Omori Maho" episode?

Nothing lasts forever but I feel this show still had a few good years on it. Here's hopping for a season 2 in the future..."okaeri mouri-san" lmao

Is this show worth watching? I have downloaded all the episodes (and subtitles), but I haven't had time to watch any of them yet.

Yes it's worth watching! I didn't watch all of the episodes (I might watch the whole show in complete someday), but I did watch quite a lot of them and it was fun. it's a good way to learn about the current AKB members. I like the episodes that had the non-senbatsu members, and when they complained about senbatsu members too, it was funny. I like some of the games that they did as well. You should give it a try and see ;D
