I've been listening to the new album a lot today and rather like it. "I AM" is a really solid A-Side and my favourite song on the album. I'm also obsessed with Yujin's styling in the video, especially this look: The camera work in the first chorus especially fits so well with the song, and Wonyoung is such a stunning centre, you just can't go wrong with having her the centre of attention. I noticed, unfortunately, that Liz once again barely has any parts and although I haven't sought out a line distribution video yet, I wouldn't be surprised if she's last again. Rei also doesn't seem to have a lot of lines, Gaeul has her rap part after the first chorus at least. Sometimes it does feel like it's "Annyeongz* + the girls" but to be honest, those two girls do have the biggest stage presence to me I would absolutely love Kitsch if it weren't for the beat drop and the "ninteen's kitsch" part... I still don't know what that's even supposed to be mean, and it's not the word "kitsch" that I'm confused about. I'm a native German speaker and it's a German word, but wtf does "ninteen's" mean 90's kitsch would've made way more sense. The build-up towards the chorus is beautiful, I really love that part, but the beat drop sort of ruins the song for me, unfortunately Other songs that I quite like are "Mine" and "Cherish". *Annyeongz is Wonyoung + Yujin. It's a word play on "annyeong" but also Yujin's last name 'An'/'Ahn' and the 'young' in Wonyoung.
My favourite tracks apart from 'I AM' are 'Blue Blood', 'Not Your Girl' and 'Shine With Me' but I'm not quite so keen on 'Kitsch'. I've read that the 'nineteen's' possibly refers to the fact that 5 of the members are in the 18-20 year old age range? However I've never heard of 'kitsch' being used with people's ages.
I agree with I AM being an absolute banger. As it turns out, Liz, Yujin and Gaeul have the most line distribution and Wonyoung is actually last. I'm not really good in recognizing voices, so just from watching the MV, I thought that Wonyoung sang lots of lines, because she got lots of screentime. That was quite deceptive. I like Kitsch, it's not great, but these days I just want some upbeat noise distractions. I've been pairing it with NMIXX a-sides over and over.
As I have mentioned, 19 kitsch is age-appropriate version of 90's bit**. They came up with the number 19 as kitsch became a certain artistic style in 19th century on top of sounding similar to 90's. Personally, I like Kitsch without the chorus and the chorus itself. the combination of them is ambiguous though. Rei reportedly sits out the album release showcase due to health reason. Rei managed to showed up at photo wall and greet journalists but left afterward due to worsened condition. Updated: Rei suspends activities During the press conference, Rei felt palpitation. After more checkup at the hospital, the physician advised Rei to take some rest.

I remembered your post, which is why I said specifically I'm not confused about the "kitsch" part but rather the "19s" part. I even replied to your post that that was the confusing part of the song, and you hadn't mentioned the 19th century part until now. Just now after the album got released as well
