I suspect Universal is partially behind all the decisions of restructuration, and the mass exodus we are facing.

For the previous single, they didn't do any different than King records, while they could have lift most of the restrictions in place. They could have brought back on site HS events right away to show their difference with King Records.
Though it's what they are doing right now, they added more slots in general and from the look of it, the sales will increase seriously. Just why not earlier ?
I think they are doing a fine job, just they waited too much.

Also they are still in the wait and see area with sister groups.

Just remember, not being the center/ace type ≠ not being good in the center position. Don't misinterpret things.

Tbh, i dont get what u are saying here. What are the differences? It seems like different semantics but same meaning lol.

If perhaps u insinuated about versatility.. idk i saw her centering sexy and dark song, albeit in mini scales like theatre etc. For cute and idollish, well she is born with it.

Tbh i agree it is too late now to give her at least one single to center. But if they tried with mion, eri.. they could have tried with her long time ago

Again i dont even like her. But tbh she is the few girl i saw with X factor ....(along with hiichan, yui, and perhaps zukki althou this is controversial).. that is something coming from someone who dislikes her.

(And the girl has dedicated her life at the theatre despite her popularity.. i kinda feel bad for her LOL)

I hope this single won't be another typical idol song. Bring back another slutty song like Teacher Teacher, which Yuiyui did well last time.

Look at the current members. They are all cute, young (even not so young), fresh, childish, idolish type of girls. There is no charismatic, sexy, strong apearence, cool type. Something like "Iiwake maybe" is the best choice for them. Or maybe somethink new and trendy like NewJeans... [hehe]

is it just my feeling or this is the quickest gap from one single to another in a while?. i swear it felt like just 2 months ago i saw them performing 61st single for the first time in that bamboo setting stage. its a very good sign that they been earning more i guess?. hopefully they can keep producing more good songs. and so excited for this single!

No absolutly the same gap. 5 months between singles in the same year.

Perhaps the huge Shitsuren -> Nemohamo gap (or that thing that caused it) is still throwing off your sense of time. As STS was presumably pointing out, the gap from Moto Kare Desu to Hisashiburi no Lip Gloss was exactly the same down to the number of days*, with the corresponding singles (Moto Kare/Dousuki -> Hisashiburi/62nd) even being released at the same time of year.

    * Ignoring that some months have 30 and some 31, which I can't be bothered to account for atm.

And just to illustrate this, today NMB48 gave more details about their upcoming single.
3 days for onsite HS event, and 7 days for online. (should increase their sales anyway)
Universal acted as a big deal when they signed with AKB48, just it looks like they are moving forward while still having their 2 feets on the brakes.

Considering how well online sells for AKB48 compared to offline, that seems a smarter ratio than what AKB is doing.

I had to do the maths :XD:
    353 / 2673 slots sold
    + 72 since previous round
    61st single 2nd sale 1st round: 330 / 2121

It's a bit confusing to compare, since "Dousuki" 1st sale had 6 rounds
Anyway so far, this looks on better rails.

Miion, Yukirin, Yuiri and Aichan will take part. The YouTube link given in the announcement shows as 'private' for me (even using a VPN connection to Japan) but it may work tomorrow - here it is as a URL:

EDIT: Link is now live ahead of the broadcast:

About the latest HS results; I'm surprised that Naru is now top 4 in sales, I feel like she's been getting more push these days especially with OO48 (I only watched like the first 3 episodes but they were praising her a lot during the show) and I remember that she recently double centered a song in a music show. it's interesting o_o also, Eriko is still doing great!! also nice to see Erii having a sold out slot, I hope she can do better in HS! and finally, most importantly, I'm very happy for Harupyon that she managed to have a sold out slot already!! my girl ;w; <3

Naru has been grabbing my attention a lot this year, in fact maybe for me she’s even starting to show signs of oshi-wrecking. However I just don’t really know why she’s grabbing my attention all of a sudden, certainly I’ve become a regular viewer of the Narutogeneral channel because of her (although I do like Miu too!). Whatever she’s doing to attract my interest in her is perhaps doing the same for other fans of the group.
