[Subbed] Nogizaka Shows Thread

Damn. Nogi is gonna put us out of business. 'twas a good run.

 

From what I've seen so far and i work on AISubs extensively, i don't see the telltale signs of it, or at least they have manually fixed the signs if they actually used AI

I was scrolling through it a bit. One scene, Bananaman says "HoriKen" and the onscreen text says "HoriKen", but the sub was "Horiuchi". So that to me makes it looks like manual sub or edited AI sub as well.
Straight up AI sub would just use "HoriKen" I believe.

 

Quite possibly, my AISub says this i assumed the episode you are talking about is 318

So yeah, it seems to be AI generated with manual editing done.

 

I believe Horiken is short for Horiuchi Ken but I am not sure if they actually said "Horiuchi" or "Horiken". These subs are nice but I do enjoy manually downloading the episodes and subs every week from our favorite subbers.

The subs seem good but I wouldn't be surprised if they were AI.
It's hard to beat GEES. Their subs are excellent and they've been doing it every single week, with no break, for years and years.

I don't see why uploading the raw and softsubs has to stop whatever happens in the future. I like saving them too.

 

Well, if they do more karaoke episodes where we don't get any sound GEES isn't out of business yet!!

 

Yeah. It was ep318 that you posted a few posts back. At 14:06, Shitara and on screen text clearly says "Horiken" but the English uses Horiuchi. Which is short for Horiuchi Ken.

Sincerely hope GEES keep it up. Will always prefer a .TS with their separate subs for quality and archiving. Wouldn't want to fall back on YT sources.

 

I haven't checked extensively, but from what I could tell in the past, the YT file was timed to match other raws out there. The only difference was an additional 10-30 seconds or so at the end for Youtube links, which shouldn't matter. So tentatively we can use the new subs with the same set of raws in the future.

The interesting part is what GEES decides to do. I'm not sure anyone's heard from him since this announcement, but I'd be surprised if he kept going to all this effort with official subs coming out a few days after his.

Worst case from the above two points would be someone retiming the official subs to the higher quality raws.

 

But the youtube videos are 1080p. Isn't that the same quality as what you would find on aidoru and stuff?

 

The bitrate's pretty bad, so the quality isn't as good.

But it is always an option, and there are clips at the end that aren't on the raws, not to mention the voiceover ads they have on the broadcast/raws are not on the Youtube video.

 

Ahh. Make sense. Yeah think you only get the higher bitrate if you got premium youtube.

 

If they even upload a video with a good bitrate. They probably don't want to compete too much with future Blu-Ray releases, so what's there for non-premium customers is likely the best you can get on YT.

I was wonering if there is a subbed version of the recent 5th gen nogizaka star tanjou live?

 

I've rewatched some episodes on YT, yet official subs is limited. The display scripts are still out of touch or rather not fixed

 

Does anyone know where to download the complete Kohaku show? I've searched and only found the cut ones.
I've found one but in .ts format. Looking for mp4 or mkv version

I don't think their subs are in any way better than fan made subs. The big difference is the little tidbits that non-Japanese speakers or people who don't live in Japan get that fan made subs reference.

That is an issue that AI subs lack, also.

AI subs lack of those tidbits, of course. AI can only do a bookish sub, not like human made ones
