Single AKB48 62nd single [Idol Nanka Janakattara] - 2023/09/27

Aside from the 5 MVs (the heck you're consuming? ), I agree with Airi as next center. Although I wish they'd give Oguri another (for some consistency), the last back-to-back center was Mayu in 2014, so that's probably out of the window. Zukki deserves a second chance, since her center was overshadowed by covid, but I feel mngmt went past her. Yuiri is my biggest wish r8 now, but she'll probably turn it down herself. So, if not Kashiwagi for a grad single, my bet is on Airi.
Ofc there are also Erii, Naru and Maho(?), who also could be center.

 

Yeah, Remi I would love to see her in senbatsu but it depends on whether staff still want to invest in her or not. Her HS sales not going well as it should be.
If 4 17th gen members are too much, then I think they should replace Mizumin with Sorara. I know they are pushing Sorara like crazy lately with the movie but her HS is not developing for both senbatsu single so other members deserve the chance than her.
And somehow we all forget (or left out) Sahoo. If 63rd it's Yukirin's graduation single, Saho will get high chance to make her debut.
My wishlist for 3 slots: Manaka, Saho/Remi, Yunachan (and Mizumin replace Sorara)

I don't see the chemistry between Aichan and Sae but it's management's choice after all, I agree the only think can keep Yunachan far from senbatsu it's management prefers Sae over her. At the Day 1 concert they gave Yunachan a center of the KKS unit but Sae got ACCHAN's position.

 

If we're making predictions for next single senbatsuI would say Kurumi is a candidate for 16th position. (were she replaced momoka in the lives). Yuiyui will center next 4 singles. Yukirin will will get a solo grad single, not an AKB48 group release.

17ths. Sora and ai remain, mizumin will get her shot and eriko out.

18ths four members and I don't think it will be akiyama or sae. Kubo, aizuki, kohina, Sako.

I guess I could see it happening, management has been pushing her the most as under in TV performances... the others being Ayamin and Serika. tbh all 3 of these pushes surprise me...

Hmm not a bad idea... I do think Yukirin's graduation deserves to be celebrated, I mean, she stayed for 17 years, she's pretty much a legend. But AKB releases are so rare. So either they give her a single center but they have 3 releases in 2024, or maybe they could do something like this, a solo release and it can include other members in it, but mostly focus on her alone.

I agree for Mizumin in, but if they remove Eriko, it would be sooo unfair. She's by far the best seller for 17th gen.

Hina and Azu are possible, both are getting some kind of push, but Kohi and Yumemi... probably no chances lol Hina is getting some good push in UNLAME which makes me wonder if management would also push her in AKB at the same time or focus on pushing her with UNLAME. She actually became the most followed 18th gen on Twitter, she's doing really good. She also got 2 acting jobs.

It's the first and only single in the AKB-only era to achieve this. All the other ones were certified only as double platinum (500,000 copies shipped).

 

Isn't it more like copies shipped to stores, and not really copies sold to customers?
