Please don't get me wrong, not being in sync is not necessarily about mistakes. If I wanted to find mistakes, I'm sure I could find more in the senbatsu performance video. (Mizumin also hasn't been in senbatsu together with Hiichan so that kinda defeats the point )

Here's some examples of what I mean. Naru and Miu are both stepping at the same moment, but Miu is only doing a small step whereas Naru is lifting her entire foot:


Again, Miu and Naru are both doing the same move at the same time but Miu's arm is stretched upwards in a more or less straight line, whereas Naru's is more diagonal.


Final example I'll use, Miu's leg is lifted higher than Naru's.


These are all very minute and on the grand scheme, it doesn't matter. It doesn't make them any less skilled or talented, or anything like that. It's simply something I noticed.

On the other hand, here are some moments from AKB48 that looked neat to me cause most, if not all, members had their legs and/or arms in a similar position.


As a negative example, though, this moment stood out to me as Yuiri was too far on the left (from our point of view).

 

2nd at Billboard Japan Hot 100. This is better than previous singles. Artists who only rely on physical sales won't last long on this chart. Bling-Bang-Bang-Born is a new phenomenon of Jpop

Have some bad news and unfortunately it's not April Fools:

AKB has removed information about possibility to apply for hs from abroad and some people are already facing some difficulties like need to use VPN to apply for HS. AKB Official Shop website shows to us information that for handshakes can apply only people who are now in Japan.

Thanks to David61, for quick fix of my news written in panic

 

I've just tried a test order stopping just short of final confirmation and it worked fine for me without a VPN. My guess is that people have encountered the bug which happens on the first day of the first application period of each round - that's when if you're trying to apply from abroad where the local time is before 16:00 the site won't allow you to apply unless you set your PC, laptop or device time to later than 16:00 (but you still don't need to use a VPN).

I've just checked the FAQ to see if anything's changed (https://shop.akb48.co.jp/site-info/faq) and under 'Can I Apply From Overseas?' it still says (translated) "If you have registered with the AKB48 Group Service with a Japanese address, you can apply from overseas." AFAIK neither neither the AKB Shop nor Chara-ani before that have ever allowed overseas addresses to be used, only Japanese ones.

EDIT: I've just noticed that the 'time bug' means that currently the 1st application is still shown as live for me but clicking on the link for that takes me to the 2nd (current) application.

Where is the MSte performance?

 

Unofficial videos of AKB48's TV appearances all seem to get deleted very quickly these days whether they be on YouTube, X/Twitter or BiliBili. I've just checked all three services and I couldn't find any videos of the Mste performance.

 

That is a pity. What song did they end up performing, along with Colourcon?
