Whelp Chance's reception is on par with Shiawase, so I wonder if it will experience that type of increase or maybe less than 50k from the previous single.

So far, for me, it's not a good single. Very underwhelming. I think it matches last single which wasn't a good one for me either. Must be something occurring behind the scenes such that they've lost focus on the music and songs. God I hope they fix it before 6th Gen shows up.

My song ranking.

1. Ato 7 Kyoku
This is my genre. I listen to this type of music a lot. So, I love this song from the intro. K.Sakura rap voice is also cute. No complaint for this song. I hope we get self-made MV for this song.
2. Salvia flower
Mao and Iroha duet is simply amazing. Plus, it has many accoustic guitar part. Their hamonization is also enjoyable.
3. Jaane
Tbh, the melody and vibe in this song reminds me of Hiragana Keyaki song. It feel nostalgic. And, 5ki voice is really good.
4. Chance wa
This song is my ex-no 1 before I listened to the three songs above. I love the melody, it's catchy, the bassline is also satisfying. If i have to mention its flaws, there are two of them. Member voice is too plain, no harmonization or backing voice that can enrich and put more sound layers to the song. The other flaw is the MV.
5. Bunbun
Sound like ano's song. That is why I love it. Plus, even though many members in this song mostly sing with nasal voice, somehow it is suitable with this kinds of song/music style.
6. Shadou gawa
Interesting retro sound. But, it doesn't give me strong impact like OG Under song.
7. Natsuzakura
It is not as good as my fav solo grad song, Naimononedari.

Conclusion
Solid single. All songs are interesting. If management didn't mess up with the schedule and MV, I believe it will get even better feedback from fans.

It's been a long time since it's been that short. Last I remember is the 14th single, Harujion -- the grey or navy plaid one.

 

Cute uniform. Better than previous singles seifuku.

Abou the sales...Yeah, expected considering the response to the song and the senbatsu hasn´t been great.

I found an interesting line in Ato7kyoku lyrics. It is the fourth line or K.Saku's second rap line. It is said, "How about we go to Yasu's house and play video game?"
I think this is the first time AkiP put his name in Nogi lyrics. Maybe, this song based on his real experience?

 

Isn't Yasu Himura's friend that he plays video games with?

 

If AkiP referred to that Yasu, it means he watches Koujichuu a lot! But, I doubt he knows about the details like that. Maybe, Ato7 came from his real experience when he was young, having problems finding the karaoke to sing more songs, then one of his friends asked his group to go to AkiP's house and play video games instead of wandering around the town trying to find karaoke, like what the lyrics say.

Oricon 6th day sales: 13,489 (Total: 517,872)

In the end, 1st week sales is way lower than 34th single but at least it's still slightly higher than 32nd single. Still...very disappointing for a graduation single. Hopefully this is a wake up call for mgmt to handle single release better in the future.

And for Mizuki, hope she won't be too hard on herself, she is always a pro and has always worked so hard. I just wish her the brightest post-graduation acting career in the future, I believe in her potential. And hope she has a memorable graduation concert too next month.

 

Wow, so this is now the first graduation single to decline in sales...

I really hope Mizuki doesn't take it personally, this result has nothing to do with her and everything to do with the song and release (which was a top to bottom management botch job)

I also hope that management doesn't shy away from different sounds and genres in the future because of this, because i like the concept of a disco track it's just the execution that was somewhat lacking
