    My eyeballs bulged from the poll. Nearly half of the people are girls?! Do the girls look at AKB48 as role models or just good entertainment like the rest of us?

    I know there is crazy fan obsession for Korean groups, but I always thought Japanese groups were always geared/more appealing to the opposite gender.

    @BloodyWind: For me, my favorite girls in AKB48 - Takamina, Miichan - (and my other favorite girls in the other J-pop groups I listen to for that matter) are role models to me... I'm not sure what you mean by "entertainment," but I listen to them because I love their music, plain and simple [nod]

    I didn't mean entertainment in a bad way, I guess it means liking them just for the heck of it.

    Takamina would be the girl who comes up first in my head as a role model. Gud choice

    I look at my favorites as role models and I'm entertained by them. :D Plus the fact that AKB has great music helps, of course. ;D <3
