can someone explain to me the concept of "Seeds"? i am a bit clueless on this...

and is there a girl named Junko?, i heard she was in a new movie with Riko Narumi. I didn't know about Junko, unless she is either on Team B, or on SEEDS.

 

That was a typo. It's Acchan, and it's a new drama, not a movie.

Like I said, Junko was a typo. They were talking about Acchan.

The SEEDs are just girls in training. Two or three are taking part in Himawari right now, and a few are rumoured (according to Shin) to be taking part in B2.

Seeds eh....in training...so once they past the test/training, then inaugurated..or inducted to the AKB team? Team B? probably to replace those that have recently retired...to maintain the "48" number of girls in the entire group.

 

I don't believe they've said what they're going to do with the SEEDs. At the moment, they are kind of acting as "fill ins", but only in Himawari.

 

I think qilver is talking about "Ashita no Watashi no Tsukurikata" (it's not a new movie though) because Narumi Riko will not be in a new drama that Acchan will star.

Akimoto Yasushi said he's not gonna maintain the number "48", so there will be more than 48 girls in AKB48 in the future.
(It means there is a chance that they will form a new team consisting of SEED's members. In fact, they are carrying out an audition for new SEED members right now.)

 

however I curious why he added 48 behind the AKB

I don't believe he ever originally intended to have 48 girls. I recall reading somewhere he just liked that number.

I wanna ask something...
I saw AKB48's Tour 2007 and in the introduction (after 3 or 4 songs) they were celebrating Mariko-sama's birthday, right? Okay...pass a few girls after Mariko had her speech, and then Hii-pink's turn to speech. Before that, she congratulated Mariko, right?
Here's the question : it sounds to me that she's saying OTANJOUBI ODEMETO instead of OTANJOUBI OMEDETO. I rewind this part a few times, but it just sounds the same to me. Anyone noticed it too or is it just me? Am i hearing right?

that is a lot of girls! i think having 4 teams of 16, might make it hard to memorize and get to know some of the girls.
